  1. I'd still like to know how to tell the difference, assuming there is a difference. The Ebay Seller stated they are not BMW, but I find no way to tell that my originals are BMW either. Here's some pics of an original blinker that came off my '71 Touring parts car, and a new one I bought some 5 years ago. The lettering both on the outside and inside is identical on both blinkers and there's no mention of BMW (no roundel no nothing).
  2. From the pictures I have collected........... '67-'68 Euro 1600-3/2002 only has Tyre Pressure (left of fuse box) and combined Fuse & Oil sticker in the driver side plenum (right of fuse box), all in German. '67-'68 1600-2/2002 USA has same above, but English version plus Emission Stickers in the passenger side plenum. The early 1600-2/2002 pictures that I have do not show battery & coolant stickers until '69 version (maybe late '68). I have no idea if this is fact; just going by the pictures I have. Note that early Colour Sticker font is italic Good luck finding these!
  3. perhaps she will start tonight... heres the kitchen table this morning, You put a sheet over the table - that doesn't count. Unless you took it straight of the bed (lol).
  4. They look good to me too. How does one know if they are "knock-offs"? The original ones (1974) on my Touring have Made in Germany and numbers that are not BMW part number (probably Hella or Bosch) on the outside of the lens. Maybe there's a BMW part number on the inside?
  5. Mike, With nothing else better to do, and armed with the parts manual....... 3 - 6v (& 12v) Flasher Relay - 1602 only 7 - 6v Headlight Relay - 1602 only 8 - 6v (& 12v) Washer Pump Relay - early '02s 11 - Relay for carburettor - US '02 & '02A only 13 - Mile counter for warning lamp & thermo reactor - US '02 & '02A only 14 - Mounting Plate for item 13 15 - Brake Pressure Switch - US '02 & '02A only 16 - Speed Warning Switch - Japan dely 1502 only 17 - Buzzer (for 16?) - Japan dely 1502 only Ta da!
  6. Agree with Tilux. The early trunk boards were wider, therefore the late ones may fit, but would leave a gap at the sides. Re pics - White car is early, Malaga car is late.
  7. Remove the centre & side grilles, then take a picture & post it. We can then tell you which nose panel (early or late) you have and which grilles match.
  8. Actually, the problem is the original EURO headlight. Crap gets in (especially with the UK weather) and the reflectors deteriorate at an alarmingly quick rate. Once the reflectors go bad, the lights are not much better than glow-worms. New reflectors are the answer, and to ensure the dog bowls are fitted and sealed as best as they can be.
  9. I need a "force field" around the back end of my Touring. The back end of it is becoming very valuable these days!
  10. My quote about W & N was for TOURING rear lights, and was pertinent. Assuming W & N do still have them (yes acording to their current price list) then it shows this Ebayer is not a million miles away with his "start" price with free shipping. $1200 "buy it now" is trying it on, but most Ebay Sellers do that.
  11. But he's going to ship them for free!! edit: I see that Walloth & Nesch still have them noted on their Sept price list at Euro 263 ($385) each.
  12. Greetings. What's up with the front grilles? Either you have a pre '74 nose panel with correct side grilles and wrong (upside down?) centre grille, or you have the wrong side grilles. If your 1602 still has the correct '74-'76 nose panel, then you need the "late" black plastic side grilles (cheap). You can then sell the "early" metal grilles for some serious coin. Have fun; these '02s are addictive.
  13. Someone on this forum (I forget who) had turned one into a digital clock. Seems, to me, to be the best use for it.

    New Bud Light

So many to chose from.....and......so little time. Not a Bud in sight! http://destinationbeer.com/beers

  16. You need a Beater Paul. No one comes or parks within 10ft of it. Look how far Steve parked from Da Beater at V@V!
  17. FYI. You can get an E36 Brace off Ebay (like the pic) for $21 shipped. You just need to redrill for the '02 mounting hole positions.
  18. I guess this maeans you're not coming then. Think your using a 14lb sledge to crack a peanut here. Lighten up. Where do you think the Japanese got their car designs from anyway? This is just a small gathering of elderly BMWs driving to a few Vineyards in Texas. I'm not the organiser, but I'll take any event in Texas as they don't come up very often. I would hope Scott he realises it's just a bit of fun and in no way is going to eclipse V@V. In the unlikely event this becomes a regular thing we'll work on having a name that (hopefully) doesn't offend.......how about that?
  19. It's not my car, but there should be a threaded "stud" with a wing nut to secure the jack.
  20. I know the Jack is correct re the hold down for it. As to the lug wrench and tool bag, I'm not sure.
  21. The one pictured has been fitted to 3 of my '02s. Had to adjust it slightly for each car. My advice.....design in a method of adjustment.
  22. We're in the Faust Fri & Sat. Will be sampling the ale from their microbrewery AND will have Newcastle just in case!
  23. About 5 years ago there was an original Turbo for sale in the UK that had been converted to RHD; so I guess it's possible. The main problem with RHD models is with the exhaust downpipe.
  24. I keep an amateur Register of '02s. I have scoured Ebay, etc for the past 8 or 9 yrs and acquired info on around 5000 '02s. The Seller (2000m5) of the missing '02 is still putting cars on Ebay and is the Evan that used to be (maybe still) part of BimmerBrothers. Not sure if BimmerBros is still going now though. Edit: a little more info www.bimmerbrothers.net www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_g8m4xd The guy is Evan Esterman. Not saying anything against this Evan, but as the car went through his hands, he may be able to help.
  25. 4280403 - Atlantik/Tan was on Ebay Jun '06. The Seller was Ebay ID "2000m5", San Mateo, CA. 2000m5 is, I believe, Evan ? of BimmerBrothers fame. HTH
