  1. 4280403 - Atlantik/Tan was on Ebay Jun '06. The Seller was Ebay ID "2000m5", San Mateo, CA. 2000m5 is, I believe, Evan ? of BimmerBrothers fame. HTH
  2. Re: RHD 1600-2 VIN 1550001 to 1553252 manuf from 4/'67 to 3/'71 Numbers made: 1967 = 627 1968 = 975 1969 = 862 1970 = 592 1971 = 196 Thus your 1552121 would be manuf ~3rd/4th quarter 1969. HTH
  3. I stand corrected. Strange that the part number (63 13 1 354 557 & 558) refers only to the tii Touring and there's a different part number for the US front turn indicators (63 13 1 351 629 & 630). Is there a difference?
  4. I would like to see those pictures. I have the original Touring brochure, and no US "bubble" indicator is shown nor offered, certainly not as part of the "sport paket". As the Touring was never officially brought to the US I do not know how it would have got US "bubble'' indicators. Maybe a Touring or two was ordered by US buyer(s) and they asked for them?
  5. It's come a long way, literally. Good job. Nice to see one given a new life.
  6. Surprised you went with a US dash (seat belt warning thingie). What happened to the original? Also you have the US front "bubble" indicators. What's the VIN?
  7. http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/1357041622.html Not mine, no affil, etc.
  8. http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/1348163269.html nothin' to do with me, etc.
  9. I'm with "eastsidebimmer" on this; the car could/should be saved. Is there something terminal about the car?
  10. The "late" trunk lid has a recessed area where the roundel fits. The Roundel may not sit flush to an "early" trunk lid with no recess? Ok, forget that. I'm thinking of my Touring tailgate!

  12. Well, that's just great. No amount of pulling would release the headrests in 3 of my 4 Recaro seats. They would lift up so far and hit an unmovable object. Now I know what it is. Thanks.
  13. Not sure how you'd gain a quart, unless it's syphoning out. Like Esty said, make sure your gas inlet tube is vented or your vent is not blocked. If you really are gaining a quart, let me know how - the price of gas these days you may have found the trick! (lol)
  14. Interesting, thanks for letting us know. A note to remember, tax evasion is illegal, whereas tax avoidance is (in thoery) legal. Ask me how I know.
  15. Bosch or Hella (or both) offered it as an aftermarket? However, I think Rob Delk, who bought his Touring new in Germany, said it came from the factory with the twin headlights.
  16. This is the best I can do. Yours I have noted for a 1970 (btm left corner states 1970 model), and I've attached a pic for 1971. What is your VIN?
  17. As you are in Belgium, you may have one of the 02s built/assembled at ETS Moorkens, Kontich. I know VINs 174XXXX were built there. Does your VIN plate have the Moorkens name on it?
  18. I'm at 23 years with the Touring. I did run out of gas one time, but can't blame the car for that.
  19. Sorry, just had to correct ya.... Sorry Tom. I have a project manager called Tim at the moment. Can't get him out of my mind. He's the bain of my life. I actually met Tom Jones in a hotel while working in Wales years ago. He's a lot shorter than you'd think. Cheers,
  20. And, it should not have a VIN starting with 155XXXX! Looks decent though.
  21. I just painted my faux wood cluster surround with flat black. Their White Guages are a good deal. BTW - I have painted the needles on the temp & gas gauge black now also!
  22. Hopefully tomorrow will bring pictures!
  23. Yes, like Tim says, you've almost certainly got the gutter trim for a Touring. The Touring windshield slopes back more than the sedan so the trim would be slightly longer at the front of the bend, and, as the Touring has no trunk, so to speak, it is probably a good 5" or 6" longer along the roof.
  24. My Touring was originally Amazonasgrün. When it went for painting they matched it to some interior paint and it came out as Jadegrün. The pic shows it sporting it's original paint.

What you doing in the Netherlands Rob? You have to go for the Touring. Let me know the VIN. Did you hear we got the Beater all the way to V@V (NC) and back. 3000+ miles and neither car missed a beat. Yvonne drove the Beater all the way there, then we switched for the drive back.
