  1. So, basically, you took a chance and it worked........this time. Good for you.
  2. Pics below show usual position for the E-Code sticker over the VIN plate, and the paint colour sticker on inner fender behind the headlight.
  3. Is this the mysterious E10 version the young kids are talking about?? Nice work!
  4. Gordon Bennett!!! If you want to sell the car, for goodness sake post a detailed description and pics HERE. How hard can it be?
  5. The bit on the right (against the ruler) goes over the rear side window & down to the hoffmann kink. The cut-out goes over/at the top of the b pillar.
  6. When I lived in the UK, I mainly had LHD cars due to my work often being in Europe. I didn't really have a problem driving them in the K, but it does make you pay attention. Then I bought my RHD Touring and left UK for USA and (eventually) shipped it over. Having at one time several LHD '02s over here, the only problem I've had with the RHD Touring over here was sometimes I'd get in the left door expecting the steering wheel to be in front of me. It's ok when you're out of sight at home, but, somewhat embarrassing when you're out & about.
  7. Read this: https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/307364-paypal-policy-change/
  8. As it's on the 'right' side, one could say, it's on the 'correct' side?
  9. Manufactured May/June 1975. What's your problem?
  10. Bought all my parts from Jaymic in '86/'87 for the first refurbishment of my Touring. Great Company and Mike McCartney was, I believe, the first to write a book detailing the BMW '02 model details.
  11. Yes. I believe last year the amount was $20,000 before tax. Big difference. I believe PayPal is increasing its transaction charge also. Perhaps we'll go back to using Money Orders again?
  12. This one has had a epic life for an 'original' 74k miles. Has had mtr & trans rebuilt and was painted Red (Verona?) in the 2000s then painted back to its original Granatröt later.
  13. The average BAT audience would be blinded by the shiny bits and not even notice?
  14. Hmmm When I was in the UK we only had Vintage & Veteran for cars covering up to around 1930 something, then Classic came along for others that were worthy. Basically Antique was for furniture and things found in Egyptian pyramids, not cars.?
  15. Stated as having been backdated with round lights, but really has nothing on it to show it was a 1974 other than the VIN stamped on the inner fender and the late gauges. The inner fender is the style not used after 1969 and that is alarming. https://www.ebay.com/itm/255528513572?hash=item3b7eafb024:g:eh0AAOSwTYRieRfV
  16. When did that change? An item needs to be 100 years old plus to be an antique, unless it's a car? Is this a US thing?
  17. Amazing - the first Owner owned it since day 1?
  18. Actually, the Seller managed to get two separate auctions listed for the same car; assume by accident. Perhaps marking one as sold was a way to delete one of the listings. The current listing is (I believe) the original which had a Buy it Now of $34,999 reduced to $29,999.
  19. Pics do not show the wheels. Did not know that red was a seat colour option for anywhere. Better pics of the front seats would be useful. Are they sans headrests? EDIT: checked the parts book and red velour was available, apparently in all markets, not just Italy - learn something new everyday. The trunk lid appears to have had a BMW roundel in it at one time; that would make it a '1974/5 trunk lid. Front nose panel has the famous "snorkel" that was for carbureted cars and would suggest a replacement nose panel. Pic of the front of the car would be useful.
  20. There's a couple of things in your pics that shout "not original". Your price, for this side of the pond, is waaaaay hopeful.
  21. Interesting place for the Tyre Pressure sticker. Was it just for the 1502 that had it there while others, thru' 1975, had it next to the Fuse sticker (top left of the hood)?

  23. Yes, please take to Mid-Am. Pretty sure someone attending could then take a pic to post on the forum. I also am interested in for my Octavo set (this is, however, assuming you can ship to me in TN, as it's kind of a long way from me to you). Keep USPS in business!!!
