If a picture helps, well, see below. As the Knob/Button is sold separately it must be, at least, possible to fit a new one.
Lever part # 51 23 1 801 019
Knob part # 41 33 5 680 162 (should be available in USA to save shipping cost)
VIN 1677462
Sold on Ebay Mar '14 in Tallahassee, FL, to faqer dcmackintosh, Hood River, OR.
Have not come across the car since. Do not know if the above faq man is still active.
Car changed to Inka prior to 2014 auction.
It's an American thing. '02s made Oct-Dec for the USA market are labelled & sold as next year's model.
It's even Crazier now, we have Dealer ads on TV in July for the next year's model cars. Maybe soon you'll be able to buy a 2024 car in Jan 2023?
FWIW:
Last RHD tii left the factory in October '75; last LHD tii was June '75.
Quite a few of the 1975 RHD tiis were LUX versions. Perhaps a sales thing.
Why don't you specify (detail in words) what is actually wrong with the seat so us older guys have a clue about what the heck you're complaining about. Have a nice day.
Water/rain runs down the rear window and under the trunk lid and is stopped by the trunk seal and directed toward the sides. This being the high point the water would then probably run down the side of the car. For sure the lower portion of the trunk/seal on the rear panel between the taillights is pretty much protected by the overhang of the trunk lid. Water entering the trunk is probably because the seal and the lid are not completely touching along the top/higher edge.
IMHO: Logically you would position the join in the seal in the lowest position where it should, basically, remain dry. I.e., just like BMW did back in the day.
On the right of the Faq Forum pages is "Upcoming Events".
Currently shows only West Coast events, March thru' August.
Umm, does Mid-America and The Vintage not merit inclusion?
Can’t help with motor history, but….
Car was reportedly registered in CA in 2001 then GA in 2003.
Was on Ebay in 2007 in Bonsall, CA.
Then Craigslist Seller (Sporting Cars of Santa Barbara) in Buellton, CA, 2017-2018.
Car was originally Granada.
I read on your feedback post that your initial problem was when fitting the two year wheels..........on one side the hub pushed the centre cap out and the other side didn't.
Is this part of your problem or did you resolve this as something else?
IMO: if you must put chrome bumpers on a '74+ '02 and call it Euro, then do it like the Euro cars, especially if you are going to leave the knee moldings on. Putting pseudo '68 overriders on a '74+ car is insane to me........sorry if that offends anyone.
