  1. Thanks for keeping this great forum going. As member #17 I too remember the beginning and, in many ways, not surprised it's still going strong. Cheers, Les
  2. That looks like the business; the one on BAT looks like krap and is not worth more than the grills.
  3. Looks like W & N don't have it. Maximillian is, at least, showing them, but, I would try your nearest BMW Dealer. That way, if it's available, you pick it up from them and don't fret over hoping it ships to you in one piece. https://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=2651&mospid=47134&btnr=51_3320&hg=51&fg=05&hl=5
  4. behr_ac_install.pdf behr_ac_parts_list.pdf

  6. Hmmm, that's a lot of rebuilds. Why did you/someone have to keep rebuilding it.
  7. If you check oil & water on a regular basis, then add brake-clutch reservoir to that task. No worries.
  8. GoLiners does a black one. I have an '02 with black carpet, black seats & door panels and black headliner........................bloody stupid! Like sitting in a tunnel.
  9. Convenient that 3.2mm and 1/8" are within thousands the same, however, rivets do come in metric sizes and pretty sure BMW did not pick an imperial size.
  10. It did get as high as $48k back in September. I'm wondering if the Seller (whoever it might be) just doesn't want to let go of it. A few years ago it did not fair well on BAT but didn't do bad at the Barrett-Jackson event. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-bmw-2002-30/ https://barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1972-BMW-2002-247807?fbclid=IwAR29swxsr6NFHSD23gcC9bgnnoHFGNkZCYdk-ckDTQv5DBl23PjHuIfnXp8
  11. So, you want $1000 for the shell, and XXX$ for the "whole bunch of parts" that you dismantled. You would be better to price it as a job lot. IMHO.
  12. There's at least 3 different styles of reflector. Make sure W & N know which one you need to match your bucket adjusters.
  13. Not exactly sure what you're after but maybe these pics will help.
  14. By using a smaller tube pushed up inside the original, you have created a possible blockage set-up. I would suggest using a hose/tube that fits over the original.
  15. Long NLA. Part # 51 47 1 808 600 shown on parts manual page 51/71 If you haven't already, you might try posting to BMWs from the Neue Klasse era - Index page WWW.02FORUM.CO.UK or keep scanning Ebay Germany. Good luck.
  16. OK, I give in; what the ...... does PDC mean. https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/PDC
  17. Original 50k !!!! The BHCC pics show both front seats reupholstered and 2 of the 3 gauges had been replaced. Is the correct looking speedo even the original? The stated original Owner must have thrashed this car if 50k is true.
  18. The brackets should have nuts located in slots that allows you to adjust the brackets closer to each other or further apart when they are mounted to the car.
  19. As I recall, back in the days of '02s, BMW would understate max speed and overstate oil consumption in the glovebox Handbook.
  20. The "special" open end wrench was to access the rear brake adjusters, not spark plugs.
  21. To bust another myth.............not all dashboards had a 'covered' cut-out. Below picks of two one-piece dashes, first is a Euro and the second a USA. However, as you say, they will all fit.
  22. Are you referring to the car originally posted on page 1????? https://www.ebay.com/itm/185192429702?hash=item2b1e543886:g:yW0AAOSwxOFhpjpX&vxp=mtr
