  1. Curious.........was the original colour Tundra?
  2. Was advertised here in July, then on Craigslist in Aug for $4800 in Beacon Hill, WA. https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/289917-1976-bmw-2002-automatic-project/
  3. 15cm is near as dammit 6", so, neither of your rims were original to a '72 tii. Original steel rims for the tii were 5" wide.
  4. It was on Ebay several times in 2019 by the orig Owner. It was also mentioned on the faq at that time and pics can be seen in the Faq Registry (2761327). https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/236647-1972-bmw%C2%A02002-tii/ Then bought by faqer Stein-man who I beleive did the resto.
  5. Page 54 is interesting.... The 2002 was designated E10, but not by the BMW Board at that time. Mrs/Ms Jouret doesn't know when the E10 Code began and neither does BMW - go figure. There's a lot of words like probably, presumably, perhaps and quoted 'exact date can't be determined' - additional research might reveal further information - hmmm! The list of E10 coding given does not jive with the E-Code stickers which were attached to the Euro cars.
  6. As was said above somewhere, the E10 term came from our friends 'sur le continent', which is odd as the Euro '02s had E code stickers next to the VIN plate none of which were printed E10. The German '02 Owners/Clubs usually use it (E10) for model 73 and on cars as that was when the E-Code stickers changed and dropped the TYP 114 (except E6 for Tourings) in preference for just 2002. No one has yet come up with an official document from BMW with E10 on it that I know of. Probably, as BMW has acknowledged they never used it. Just another BMW '02 myth (there's a few around) that will become 'cast in concrete' by all the younger Owners that don't know (or want to know) the Marque's history.
  7. I would have expected BLUNT to know it was a bumper for a '69 BMW typ 114.

    .

    Yep, it's 'Organic' now?
  9. That would be a Turbo tank, part # 16 11 1 111 779 (70 litres)
  10. I think you'll find that's the correct air filter for a '75 Euro 2002. The US market had the double carb requiring the bigger air filter.
  11. For those (like me) that are not signed up for google............ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2aSq2Oz14M AND, https://mailchi.mp/oldenzaal-classics/2002luxusfactoryschwarz?fbclid=IwAR0nBXBSBevMsh__vj4B8Z_N09f0sXc9SALTiB7FQWD0fTd1Zu0UxKWiY4k https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOuNZHZe-aVdtvINQ7W5QhUMtZd0LYNbVL7JzZ54AKMm6OncVbV1oDz6EEA16dPyg?key=U1JtanZMaHlzdFJFMElzYWQ1RTJ1aFJVWm9xVjdR
  12. It's been a while since this last came up. The spacers were NOT just for the US '02s. part # 31 33 1 106 059 (20mm thick) was for US models (1602, 2002, 2002A, 2002tii). I believe up to late '73 part # 31 33 1 113 721 (12mm thick) was for most 2002 rest of the World models (RHD & LHD) 1502, 2002, 2002cab, 2002A, 2002tii, 2002Touring AND US2002, US2002A. I believe these were from late '73. All above according to BMW parts book. Another myth busted? Just need to work on the E10 myth now?

  16. People need to read NYgarrett's post SLOWLY. VIN is 3581568 - this makes it a Euro 1802 that was built around July 1973. Maybe the motor has been changed to make it a psuedo 2002
  17. Don't know who did this one, but maybe it will help. BMW 2002 Fog Light Wiring Diagram.pdf and just for good measure, installation instructions Factory Fog Light Installation Instructions.pdf
  18. @tjones02 I have quite a few orig Owner cars in my database, BUT, as they were for sale/auction, they are probably 2 or 3 Owner cars now.?
  19. Not to mention the home-made bracket holding the clutch-brake fluid reservoir and the bent brackets holding the air filter.
  20. With just 31k miles on the clock, this 1973 BMW 2002 was a steal on Bring A Trailer at just $23,400. Really? 31k miles. No doubt the BAT crowd believed it too.
  21. Here's a couple TII info/diags. HTH 2002tiityp.pdf 599872109ccc1_Wiring_Diagram2002Tiiwnotes.pdf
  22. If you have the Bilux Euro headlamps (not H4), you can buy H4 bulbs with Bilux socket. https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/lighting/bmw-1502-2002-turbo/catalog-picture-63-02.html Scroll down to find the bulb.
