  1. Get this as a spare car and you have the sidedrafts. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/pleasanton-1967-bmw-2000cs-rare-clean/7393671900.html
  2. Except from the Ebay auction......... This auction is for a 1973 BMW 2002 with a 1974 rear taillight pan and front grill and bumpers. I know this sounds crazy but the estate I bought car from said her dad bought car from original owner in Puerto Rico and he changed out parts. If you look at pictures of trunk you will see the rear bumper brackets have been poorly welded in so please don’t message me and say car is 1974 up I know the difference and car is definitely a 1973. As you can see in pictures car does have some rust but is complete car with matching number drive train. Cars last tag is 1986 and has been sitting under a shelter. I have not tried to crank car so I am selling this car as a restoration project. I have a clear Georgia title for car dated 1986. If you have any questions please call me at 912-337-2647. Now for terms of sale. Buyer agrees to send a $300 deposit with 24 hours and pay balance with in 10 days of close. Buyer also agrees to arrange shipping and pick up. Car has a new set of tires so it rolls and will be easy to load.
  3. Touring is an E6. E10 is a made up number.
  4. A seat belt might have kept that piss-poor jacket in place.
  5. Don't know if he changed his mind/price, but here's his Faq post https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/290824-for-sale-1974-2002-tii/
  6. 01123350 !!! When did BMW VINs have 8 numbers? If you ignore the first 0 I still can't find that VIN.
  7. Long, long way from the $60k he was asking a little while back.
  8. There seems to be a few areas of additional paint on this 'original' paint car.
  9. You're just up the road from me. Don't need anything though; in fact I'm getting ready to divest my parts stash.
  10. That's not bad. The car was on Ebay in CA last year and after a few tries it eventually (reportedly) sold for $3250.

  12. 1565499 had 1968 stamped on the tag 1565659 did not I believe both the above VINs are well before the end of the '68 model year.
  13. BMW always had 'Made In Germany' on their VIN tags; at least from 1960. (see pic below of a 1960 tag) The USA model 73 cars (1974 thru' 1976) did not have the weights on the VIN tags.
  14. The weights disappeared at the start of the USA model 1974s (Sep '73). Only US '02s lost the weights. Euro cars kept the information to the end of production in 1975.

  16. I bought the spacers from Amazon. 2pieces - 3mm x 4 x 100 Hubcentric Wheels Spacers for E30 BMW 318i etc.
  17. When they first advertised it (Aug '19) the price was $3950.

@JWT slightly!! I find Mr. Williams ads a source of amusement under whichever ID name he chooses to use.
  19. Actually, I used the centre caps that came with Resra's wheels. Front was no problem but for the rears I had to fit a 2 or 3mm spacer so the cap cleared the axle castle nut. HTH
  20. Seller had the BAT listing changed where it now states the car was painted red in 2020 by previous Owner. However, the listing still says he bought it from the reported 2nd Owner in 2019. The current Seller is at least the 4th Owner and needs to get his story right. Jul '19 - Craigslist Seller, Louisville, KY Jun '20 - Craigslist Seller, North Grafton, MA ? - unknown Seller who painted it Red Sep '21 - current BAT Seller

Your friend's memory maybe failing. The car was painted red some time after Jun '20 when it was then for sale (Craigslist) in Grafton, MA. Pics below from Jun '20 ad.
  22. By the amount of thread showing, it's not fully in or wrong thread, or, it's redundant (hopefully).
  23. I do not understand the 'logic' of repainting the car and not including the trunk and engine bay. Nor do I understand the logic of paying $35,900 for it. BAT Buyers continue to amaze me.
