  1. Kinda reminiscent of this French concoction.
  2. Reportedly, 2781822 was manufactured 15 May 1974. Thus, there's a good chance yours was the same day.
  3. What's an E10?????????? Had you searched the cars correct BMW named name (BMW 2002 Repair Manual) you would have noticed it is here on the Faq Board. This includes most of Vol 1 FYI: Vol 1 00 - maintenance & hints 11 - Engine 12 - Engine electr 13 - Fuel supply 16 - fuel tank 17 - radiator 18/21 - exhaust syst/clutch 23 - transmission - manual 24 - transmission - auto 25 - gear shift mechanism 26 - drive shaft
  4. When the Seller posted it on facebook he stated the VIN as 2707640. On the Craigslist ad he stated something different.
  5. According to the VIN, it is a 1976 model manuf Dec '75
  6. Possibly/probably available from your favourite supplier. Part # 51 11 1 816 063 for use with the earliest bumpers (up to early '71)
  7. The PO had some fun with your heater cables. The lever to the right of the steering column operates the Heater Valve AND the flap via a double cable. It would seem a prev Owner perhaps cut the 'missing' cable off?? this website shows the cable required and if you look at the pics provided, how the double cable attaches to the lever bracket. https://prdesignsf.com/shop?olsPage=products%2Fbowden-cable-for-fresh-air-flap-and-heater-valve&page=2 I have no clue if a double cable for a LHD oriented heater box, would be the same as your RHD oriented one. So, I would contact Jaymic or Linwar in the UK to see if they can get you one. You may get a used one from someone on the UK '02 Board. http://www.02forum.co.uk/ Pics taken, while I renovated my RHD Heater Box a few years ago, showing the double cable entering the Box. (not the best quality, but you get the idea)
  8. Surely you 'old' California surfers remember the Rondels.
  9. The slider to the right of the steering column attaches to the 'valve' to control the valve opening and thus heat or cool air into the cabin when the heater box motor is operated (lower left hand switch on gauge cluster - turn to the right 3 positions/speeds).
  10. My guess is F.P.S. (and, no, I do not have a set)
  11. I'm the same in my Touring. I feel the seats needs to come up more at the back than the front. Maybe one day.
  12. heheh, 111k original miles on non-original gauge cluster?
  13. If your E21 Recaros still has the E21 rail attached underneath, then yes.
  14. @Charles in PA the car was 'reserve not met' at $10k in Feb 2016. Same Seller Ebayed it again a year later and the auction ended early (no price given). @bavariaboyhere's a few more pics. It has just had a new coat of Schwarz. Car looked good accept for the trunk area pic (which suspiciously looks like Sienabraun under the black).
  15. The pic below is from this car's auction Feb 2016. It may have been originally Sienabraun?
  16. No, not my car. I have some notes from when it was on Ebay in 2008, and there's mention of a 318i motor & 5 spd.
  17. Maximillian has the MVP Aluminium ones. https://www.max2002store.com/product-page/bmw-2002-polished-aluminum-sill-plates?ct=t(EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_5_6_2021_11_49_COPY_05)&mc_cid=557fc8eef8&mc_eid=602260370d
  18. FWIW 2781302 has no reinforcing, 2781311 has reinforcing. 2781302 was reportedly born 1 Feb '74. 4222380 has no reinforcing. 4222419 has reinforcing. 4222380 born early Feb '74.
  19. Great idea!! However, I don't think the majority of the BAT audience read much. Same questions get asked several times.
  20. Or.............. https://bringatrailer.com/german/ I kinda enjoy looking at all BMWs and German cars (scroll down towards the bottom to find a neat BMW 1600GT.
  21. The Polizei green stuff is a 'wrap', so, in theory, it can be removed.
