  1. Looks very much like the Bracket/Support that holds the remote Servo/Booster. Attaches to the driver side inner fender.
  2. Was on BAT 2 months ago. Quick-ish flip? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1975-bmw-2002-2-2l-5-speed/
  3. Etching the Licence Plate numbers into the glass was popular in the UK for security, and if you had classic car insurance. My Touring had this done to every window and I received a 5% discount on my cc insurance. Difficult to picture my UK tag UWX 706N, so I highlighted it.
  4. Since departing Select Classics late 2014, it has been on Ebay constantly since May 2015 in Potomac, MD. Two different Ebay IDs, but maybe the same Seller that writes/sounds like a 'dealer'.
  5. I guess that's the compromise to use US headlights. The Euro headlight bucket 'aperture' is a larger i/d and the bucket lip fits just under the u-shaped grommet.
  6. Methinks it's the original non-snorkel nose with blacked out grills. Rear chrome trim and badge also blacked out. Colour looks a lot like Pastellblau (a '74-'76 colour).
  7. Yes, like Steve said, check the VIN & let us know so that, if nothing else, it can be added to the Registry as NLA. That goes for the other too.
  8. Hi Resra, Thanks for thinking of me, but, as you know, I have 5, so i'm good to go as I only have two 2002s now & have several sets of wheels that I really need to let go. All the best, Les

Well, if your going to make the pics bigger, then, I stand corrected Steve. Guess I assumed they stated 2762566 in error for 2782566. It did have a tii clock? edit: I have a feeling the 'VIN' is actually the Lot #.....000-27625660

    2762566

I suspect this is (was!) 2782566. A Sahara tii that was running around in CA in 2003. Although it appears it had a 32/36 carb, the original tii filter brackets can be seen.
  11. It was for sale June in the ClassicAutoTrader as a 1976 2002. 1976 BMW 2002 Jun ‘20 $35,000 Private Seller Temecula, CA 92592 Classic Car Overview 1976 BMW 2002. 12. Amazing!!! What was he drinking? https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/d/valencia-1972-bmw-2002ti-coupem104-cyl/7186758212.html
  13. Hmmm! One of your Select Classics specials.
  14. Ok, here's my take. I believe the seal on the shaft was originally a square/rectangular section seal. Mine started leaking at that point and, pictured below, is the seal that was in there. Difficult to get a good focus, but I think you can see it's not an o'ring (the bleached out picture shows it best & I don't think I could have got an o'ring to stand up against the pencil). I guess there's no obvious reason why an o'ring seal won't work, but it does seem it's hit or miss. If I ever get a replacement for it, I'll post the info. I looped the hoses to by-pass the heater, so it's become a 'back burner' job.

There was some discussion on 2760811 a while back. Mr. Fred thought he had the motor in a 73tii, or he was somewhat confused!
  16. These spacers were for ALL '02s (ie worldwide), not just US models. Also they were on E3s and (I believe) E9s. I've never been entirely convinced they were for headlight/bumper positioning, but, no clue what else it could have been for.
  17. It popped up on Hemmings website back in December and, apparently, it's still on there. Car is supposedly in St. Louis. The description is more in depth. https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/bmw/2002/2349093.html
  18. Neither does $6k https://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/cto/d/salt-lake-city-1973-bmw-2002/7179531483.html
  19. That's a neat idea. I mount my UK BMW Car Club badge and my Father's old AA badge when at events. Although the Touring has been to Belgium & Germany (back in the day) it was for work, not for events. I actually still have the member's key to get into the AA boxes that were scattered across the UK.................probably no longer works now.
  20. While you're waiting on a fan, you could fix that sagging front bumper?
