  1. If I understand correctly, you are looking for the 'edge protection', commonly called Pinch Welt. https://www.bmw2002faq.com/search/?q=pinch welt&quick=1 HTH
  2. I seem to be the odd one out here. I don't see anything wrong with the E30 Bottlecaps, and don't understand why Owners of them have to be derided because they do. They are (apparently) still plentiful, allow for a slightly better selection of tyres, and are way easier to keep clean than a lot of the 'prefered' wheels. 14~15 years ago, when 13" tyres started to dry up, it made sense to go up a size. At my local scrapyard (SAT then) I found 5 of these wheels (that never looked as if they had been mounted) in the back of a derelict pick em up. Cost maybe $100 for the 5. I then bought a set of tyres and I was good to go. Ran with them until recently when I bought a set of 100+ wheels from Resra. British wheels for a British delivery '02!!!! I guess beauty is in...........
  3. W & N Radiators on discount currently. https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/newsletter/kuehler-im-angebot/bmw-1502-2002-turbo.html
  4. Why not replace the cable? If you've rehabbed everything else for the heater box it just seems logical.
  5. A few thoughts. The engine bay looks well used for a low mileage car. Seller states all panels original. Note the seams above the headlights. Looks to have had a repaint putting paint on the crappy 44.5k mile seal. The seal gives the appearance of a car left out unused in the weather. Seller states he has driven the car maybe 2k miles since buying. When the car was for sale in 2016 the miles on the odo were 44,481, so maybe the odo is in question of reliability, or......... I think a good PPI is required for anyone interested.
  6. Can't remember where I found this, but...... 1973 July 4290001 to 4290002 2 August 4290003 1 September 4290004 to 4290005 2 October 4290006 to 4290007 2 November None 0 December 4290008 to 4290012 5 And, just for confusion.............. Production list per BMW AG 1973 7 1974 1477 1975 188 total 1672
  7. That looks like a UK production, as nomenclature uses Badge and Chassis no. Maybe contact Richard Stern on the UK Forum?

    RIP, Peter Green

Thanks Esty. Originally recorded 1968 on Blue Horizon in the UK, which was a sorta kinda low budget 'indie' company. It's hidden away in my collection? Released in the US on Epic in 1968. The disc jockey CBS version 45 shows an Aug '73 date.......strange.
  9. Sad day for those of us that liked the original Fleetwood Mac. Saw them several times in the late '60s. For those not familiar, Peter Green wrote & Fleetwood Mac originally released Black Magic Woman, not Santana.
  10. Maybe a few newcomers have not seen this video..........enjoy.
  11. Hehe. 3.5 years later and the same water pump is still on the car and never seen it leak again. Perhaps it needed 'running in'?
  12. Nov 2008 Adkins, TX. 'Da Beater' & 'Blue'. Still got Da Beater, Blue went to SC.
  13. True. But the fixings are the same for the Sedan trunk board according to the Parts Book.
  14. Amazing, considering what it looked like 4 years ago. You've done well.
  15. FWIW part nos for screws & washers. There are 9 of each for the Touring, not sure about the Sedan. screws 07 11 9 902 418 washers 51 41 7 570 111 May still be available
  16. Weird that the side over the Sedan's/Saloon's tank isn't (apparently) screwed down, but the side over the tank in a Touring is. The Touring's panel is held by 9 wee screws and 'cupped' washers.
  17. +1 for Esty, the only way to go. Look over her website and see the colour & material options and then contact her to discuss your needs. https://www.estycarpet.com/ She supplied my Touring carpet a couple of years ago.
  18. Not just US spec!!! They are (were) on Euros like my RHD Touring.
  19. Euro cars are awkward when it comes to determining year. If this car was sold in '74 in the UK it would be titled as a '74; if it languished until '75 before being sold, it would be titled a '75. I think a lot of Europe was the same. For sure the poor car was built in '74.
  20. This is the 2nd time the Seller has quoted the VIN as 2380015, which is another Malaga car residing in Fort Collins (same Owner?). FWIW the VIN of the car for sale is 2376243.
  21. Seller has it plastered all over the SE. His tel area code is 863 = central FL.
