  1. I thought 2782350 was always a CA car. When it was for sale Feb 2018 in Santa Clarita it had 'blue plates'. I guess it went to OR after that.
  2. In the 20 years since I brought my Touring over here, I rarely get the appreciated lookers/comments, maybe because it's a 'hatchback'; however, I continually get the steering wheel is on the wrong side and I reply, no it's on the right side. It's really getting boring.
  3. Walloth & Nesch have Touring door windows..... non tinted https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/karosserieanbauteile/bmw-1502-2002-turbo/katalogbild-51-35.html tinted https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/karosserieanbauteile/bmw-1502-2002-turbo/katalogbild-51-28.html Both of which you don't need - I need new glasses!!! They have the trap mirrors, but seemingly not the later flag ones.
  4. It's been NLA for years. Part # 51 12 1 815 754. I thought of getting one for a sedan and cutting a piece out of the middle to shorten it, but the sedan ones were also NLA. Not real sure how I would have made the join look good (or non-noticeable). Walloth & Nesch started supplying the Touring rear side window seals, so maybe they will find someone to make the Touring rear bumper rubber soon. Good luck with your search, & let me know if you find some.
  5. Exactly. Another thing lost crossing the Atlantic. It's a myth like E10.? In the United Kingdom, the name is spelled Leslie when given to boys, while for girls it is usually rendered as Lesley. Originally a Scottish clan name.
  6. Steve, My Touring had the 'corduroy-ish' inserts. At 70k (when I bought the car) the driver's seat bottom was toast. Passenger & rear seats were great. Looked everywhere for the same material to repair the seat but failed. Bought Recaros instead. Anything, like a comb, in your back pocket would catch the seat material if you weren't careful.
  7. It was on Ebay last August & reportedly sold for $29k. It has since lost its Recaros but not the '74-'76 nose panel. I've tried but just can't 'un-see' those wheels. FWIW, in 2016, when it was for sale (CA), it was stated to have 141k miles & 10k on rblt mtr.
  8. Leslie = male Lesley = female I realise since coming this side of the pond nobody knows that.
  9. California Sun - Rivieras 1963 - still got the 45.
  10. Something for sure molested those seats. Car last reg in 2014.
  11. The ad disappeared before I could read it. Maybe same Seller as before.............. last I saw he was asking $3k.
  12. Assumings that is Cecotto senior. I remember C senior driving for BMW in the '80s Touring Car Championship.
  13. Steve, VIN is 1565768 which would put it late July or early Aug '68.
  14. I've only seen the low fuel level light come one once......a nano second before I ran out. Won't do that again. The handbrake switch is under the cover at the back of the handbrake; it might just need adjusting if it's still there.
  15. If your '02 is a Euro, the red light comes on with Choke on, Handbrake on & low fuel........unless it's been messed with.
  16. My Touring had one and the spare console (pic'd) also. LHD part no. 51 16 1 808 633 RHD part no. 51 16 1 808 634
  17. There should also be a support angle to attach the rear right (LHD) (rear left for RHD) to the underside of the dash. Holes outlined to your pic.
  18. The car was for sale in March also in Denver (pic below). The colour looked more like Verona & the Seller was asking $22k. Seller stated the car had 86 orig miles and the paint on the roof needed attention. As the old Title (shown on latest Seller's ad) shows 84,880 miles in '87 I guess we can assume the odo doesn't work. Priced now at $34k due to the detailing?.
  19. Seller had it for sale last July for $4k and it didn't sell.
  20. Steve, Bristol was still available in Europe in 1970. My first '02 was 2618464 which was Bristol.
  21. Should be returned to its original Bristol colour.
  22. '02s that I have pics of from Portugal (the CKD ones) had a slightly different approach.
  23. Totally agree. I worked for a Company supplying Rolling Mills & Process Lines for the metals industry. Any order we got from a Chinese Co must have 51% of the parts manufactured in China. QC was paramount. I would oversee manufacture before moving on to oversee installation & start up. Any Co having manufacture in China must (IMO) have QC involvement, preferably by ex-pats.
  24. This one has been for sale 4 times in 3 years, with ever increasing $$$. Not saying there's anything wrong with it, but why does it keep coming up for sale?
