  1. Alexandre, No worries, use the $5 towards a beverage of your liking.
  2. I ordered two & shipping was $5.17.
  3. Terry has a few friends and that's putting it mildly. You would think Mr. Carlson would know the Touring is typ E6 and not that E10.
  4. This one was for sale in Austin, TX, 2017 & 2018. Seller wanted $18k to start and the last I saw was $10k. It has its fair share of rust. $18,500 is, as Steve said, ambitious. Also for sale/auction currently is a '73 Touring 2000 owned by Terry Sayther (also Austin, TX) https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-bmw-2002-touring-4/ He had it for sale for $40k, also, IMHO, way ambitious, but, as we know, there are some deep pocketed Buyers that lurk on BAT. It also has a "late" nose. I am wondering what my refurbished RHD '74 Touring would go for...…..perhaps I'll know more in a few days. For those interested in Tourings...…….can anyone explain this Glas 1304 CL Touring from 1969?
  5. BMW ran your VIN range up to 2380000, but, the '74 Auto VIN range started at 2380001, so they started a new VIN range (2740001 - 2745584) for the manual.
  6. Interesting! It was advertised by SCA Auctions last month as being in North Miami Beach, FL. Same pics. https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars/1976/bmw/2002/101309384
  7. That's what I remember. I bought my first 2002 in Burghausen in '73, but was working just over the border in Ranshofen, Austria. The locals there called it (sounded to me as) swar swaer. Boy that was a long time ago. Never heard it since.
  8. After 7 or so months on Ebay, I guess the Owner is regretting buying it, thinking he would make some money.
  9. Too many left-overs, so it was bubble & squeak day?
  10. A perfect example of how things get started and eventually taken for granted. The Touring is typ E6. The use of E10 probably started in a similar way.
  11. The Seller was Empower BMW (now Empower Group, Inc), Burbank, CA. Somehow doubt their records go that far back to find the auction winner, but you never know.
  12. I only have that it was on Ebay in 2008 in Los Angeles. Maybe, if the licence plate is still valid/in use, some enterprising '02er may hunt down the current Owner. 3LPD773
  13. 2303s - A 25 pack for $16 incl shipping won't break the bank, and you'll have enough left over to do another car.
  14. Oh dear. That ain't going to replace Little Richard.
  15. I still have a 10 year old Rand McNally book of maps. Have yet to find anything to beat it (they haven't built too many new highways). Can't see where I want to go on an I-phone screen.?
  16. I emailed Milfordautoclinic a few days ago to point out the error, as I'm sure they wouldn't want to deceive anyone. Apparently I was wrong as they have not amended the auction.
  17. BMW couldn't supply the centre material for my Touring back in 1986 (hence the sheepskins), so I went with Recaros. Would be nice to have the Recaro centres match the rear seats. Still have the original seats if the material becomes available.
  18. Yes, it's a scam. VIN 2579102. The pics are from an Ebay auction March 2016. Since then, it was sold on BAT for $26k last year July. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-bmw-2002-37/
  19. Original style clips available here https://henrysautowarehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/Catalogs/2020-henrys-automotive-warehouse-catalog.pdf Scroll down to page 102. Part (bottom left) # WF 26184 (BMW 5113-6440-146). 25 pack for $7.50+
  20. Must be a real beggar trying to keep them clean.
  21. I had a 320/6 for a while when I was in the UK. Maybe not as tossable as an '02, but so smooth. The 323 is a step up again. If you'd had the 320/6 over here instead of the 320/4, maybe there would be more E21s on the road & less '02s.?
  22. Apparently BMW did not think the weight difference was important
