  1. Probably around, or a little before, the ides of March. Closest I have is 1519935 at 16 March '67, ie same as you.
  2. More info. The Ebay winner in 2006 was Glenn Poe (TX). The Dallas '02ers know him & I believe he had a few '02s. Last year he was resto'ing a 1600ti. Pic is from May '11ish
  3. Thanks Larry, 2590631 was for sale in the BMW Roundel magazine, Dec '86 for $14k, then again Sep '87 for $9900. Seller was Charles Conaway, East Greenbush, NY. He stated it had 18k miles, was in outstanding condition and was a 1 Owner car. Don't know if he was the original Owner or a Dealer.
  4. Here's the original to my Nov '73 build Touring. Has a large centre hole, but not large enough to fit over the "nub" on the brass valve!!!! Edit: ok, not the orig valve, but the orig cover - the orig valve was the plastic variety.
  5. There's a lockdown going on at the moment? maybe in a couple of weeks businesses will begin to open up & the Lane Museum will find someone.
  6. FYI: Your 1600-2 was on Ebay Jan '06 in NW Michigan. It was stated it was a non-runner and had not run since 1997.
  7. Most of "spif100" auctions end early, and then a few of them re-appear at a Car Sales place somewhere.
  8. We need to get back to normality (NOT NORMALCY) and call it a non-sunroof car.?
  9. When you tighten the steering wheel, it will compress the spring somewhat and move the tab closer to where it should be. As said, maybe the cancelling tab is bent down and needs straightening.
  10. Nice selection, but you need a bigger fridge?

    According to the BMW Blue Parts Book...……... 11 25 1 261 880 = Euro tii HTH
  12. Would be interesting to know the VIN of the '73 '02.
  13. Both are (I believe) still available from your favourite Supplier. Part nos 51 11 1 815 493 left 51 11 1 815 494 right It looks like your right bracket has been damaged & welded up. Your left one doesn't look too bad.
  14. I think your original owner's manual shows a fuse layout for a '71-'72. Might want to check the date on the back cover. OK, just checked my orig owner's manual that came with my Touring. It's also incorrect. My manual is dated 3/74. In 34 years of ownership, I never knew. The fuse sticker under hood is correct.
  15. One of my heroes from my youth. He did have a good innings though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stirling_Moss
  16. Steve, I believe only for the US market. The parts Blue Book shows only USA.
  17. For RHD (Euro) the glass and reflector were different. The triangular-ish section on the glass changed sides and that was to prevent glare to oncoming motorists when the lights were on dip (AFAIK).
  18. First, apologies to Dosky for sidetracking. 2571502 Roundel Seller, OH, Feb '03 Ebay Seller, Toledo, OH, Nov '09 & Craigslist Seller, Aug '11, 21.6k showing on odo in '09. How about those wheels????

  20. Ah, mystery solved, thanks. What's the VIN on your Topasbraun tii? Curious to see if I have any older info on it.
  21. FWIW: the car was previously Sienabraun. GLWS Edit: maybe not - different car?
  22. If they are going to be junked, I'd appreciate knowing the VINs for my database.
  23. A kind faqer (unfortunately I forget his name) sent me the measurements for the first two holes from the rear. 60mm to the first and 246mm to the second. I already had the 3rd hole along, and mine measured 412~413mm. All distances taken from the rear edge of a replacement body section part & at the appropriate height.
