  1. Take that orange "parts" sticker ('74 on) off. A good way to spot an Oldenzaal car.
  2. I can't think of another Country that has/had red blinkers on the rear. Maybe another Country owned by the US?
  3. Currently 50% off international shipping at W & N.
  4. It's for the rear Fog Lamp accessory kit that replaced the dummy switch in the console. Front Fog/Driving Lamp kit included a switch that replaced the dummy switch in the dashboard (modell 73 for sure).
  5. The one thing that amazed me working in Europe back in the day, you go into the smallest shop in a little town, and someone would speak excellent English.
  6. Ah, the glory of Bring a Trailer. A car that could not sell for $20k anywhere else, will sell for $30k & upward on BAT. Go figure. And, when sold, the audience will post "well sold" to the Seller & "well bought" to the Buyer. How the hell can one car be both??? I need another beer?
  7. Geez, you people!? I sent Kris a copy of the "2nd Owners" Craigslist ad. I have never seen the car thus I cannot comment on it. 2782477 1c.docx
  8. The photo of the engine bay speaks volumes for the workmanship. Should there not be a screw or two holding the fender on????
  9. This Florida '02 has gone from one Dealer to another for the past 6 years. Price also has bounced around, $28k to $40k to $69k and now $45k.
  10. Correct has a '71 mtr. Sold in auction ~6 month ago & immediately appeared on Ebay for an extra $12k. A quick flip didn't happen.
  11. Car was built January (probably the 25th) 1968.
  12. It was on BAT last month. There's a few thoughts from the audience. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-bmw-2002-37/
  13. Hope the rest of your pics are better than the one posted. Is the car silver now?
  14. There's no where to mount the container, the bracket's gone (inner pass fender).
  15. I guess you pay extra for engine bay side seals & windshield washer system?
  16. The VIN is good; matches the inner fender stamped VIN. It's a mystery as the Portuguese CKD VIN ranges that I know of, do not include this VIN.
  17. Here's some pics when the car was for sale last April on Craigslist...…..it was in Prescott, AZ, then. Different Seller, or the Seller moved?? No trunk seal and no engine bay side seals.
  18. Please post a pic of the VIN plate. If, as noted in your above picture, the car was registered first Nov '72 it should be a model 71.
  19. Well it was undoubtedly a CKD car assembled in Portugal, but it has a VIN not in the CKD VIN range that I know of. 1600-2 model pre 71 ('68, '69 & '70) VIN 1060001 to 1061683 1600-2 model 71 ('71, '72 & '73) VIN 1085001 to 1088478 1602 model 73 ('73, '74 & '75) VIN 2890001 to 2892913 So, 1063700 is a mystery. Is the VIN plate like the picture below?
  20. Ok, I'll bite. What's the motor number??
  21. Earlier observations. https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/254544-1968-bmw-2002-coupe/?tab=comments#comment-1384009
  22. That does not look like a 2002 latch to me; maybe from an E21? Here's a chrome & a black one for a 2002.
