    The Seller bought it on BAT in 2017 and has been trying to sell it for over a year. He wanted $27k, but has slowly lowered his asking price. Seeing what people are paying for tiis these days, I too thought it would have sold by now. Maybe Buyers want a USA tii, not a Euro one.     So, to dispel a growing myth. I have two spare one-piece dashes, NEITHER HAS A CLOCK HOLE VISABLE FROM THE REAR. My RHD late '73 dash doesn't either. So, not all '02 dashes have the clock hole indent seen from the rear. First pic is a Euro dash (no script around the switch holes) & the 2nd pic is a normal USA dash.

    Are you sure the turn signal is completely into the fender. If you have a new seal on it, it may be holding the signal out a little. The front screw hole being on the corner (like 45deg) would appear out of position if the signal is not fully in.

    Currently on BAT is this 1 owner original '74 2002. It proudly wears a trap mirror.

    If the cancelling tab is 1mm "above" the turn signal lever arm (steering wheel off as you wouldn't be able to see), then when you tighten the steering wheel on to the column shaft you will depress the spring on the shaft allowing the cancelling tab, along with the steering wheel to lower a few mm. Assuming you have the correct pieces under the steering wheel, you should be ok.

    From what I've seen, everything happens on the last day, so yours won't end on Monday if it's not already listed. Weekends seem like early closing on BAT anyway; no listing ends on a w/end or starts.

    Steve, were the very early 1600-2s & 2002s that came over here, prior to having USA VINs, equipped also with sealed beam h/lights? If that's the case, then we could assume ? no covers were fitted as standard to any USA destined '02s.

    BMW Blue Parts Book (page 63/2) does not call them up for USA '02s. Probably the very early US bound cars (pre sealed beam h/lights) may have had them.
