  1. Not the correct way to attach the chain to the hoist hook; nothing to stop it sliding on the hook if the load weight changed.
  2. I see you have your car on Ebay now. You will get a higher bid on BAT, where, I think, potential Buyers seem to have a lot more money than sense. This one (below) you noted, was bid to $35,850 on BAT. It has been on Ebay ever since at a price of $50k and the highest bid has been $17k, but generally around the $13~$14k. And it does have the correct style chrome bumper for a square tail light car. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1974-bmw-2002-33/ The two others you mentioned are round tail light models and they, for whatever reason, are more sought after than square tail light cars. Your car is fine looking but don't be depressed when it remains unsold on Ebay……...try BAT.
  3. Might be worth a bob or two to whomever owns Ed Ullom's Touring now.
  4. Original ones were grey, the recent ones seem to be black.

  6. Hmmm. W & N have them for Euro 200 ($225) each and even with their shipping you have a large saving on rogerstii.
  7. Mike, Late last year, 2593670 (Metallic Malaga) was auctioned on BAT & was in GA. A year ago, 2593679 (Atlantik) was for sale in Cleveland, OH. In 1991, 2593703 was for sale in SC in the Roundel. It was a rusty project car, so, probably long gone now.
  8. Yes, that's correct. The side/quarter panel was basically the same for round & square '02 sedans.
  9. If it's this car, currently on Ebay & mentioned in TNan's post down the page, it is VIN 2590767 which is probably an a late April 1973 production.
  10. When the paint touch up question came up years ago here, Paintscratch seemed to be the favourite. https://www.paintscratch.com/cgi-bin/select-color.cgi
  11. That's pretty much it. In the corner of the windshield is what looks like a Texas Inspection sticker; be interesting to know if it went from AZ to TX before ending up in CA. To save you removing the strut bar, here's a pic giving "details" for the mtr rebuild.
  12. I was parked next to Scott's Touring at the '09 Vintage.
  13. As you've picked a RHD car, I'll assume you have one to. So, you'll know how bad the wiper on that side of the car is as the system was designed for LHD. Even with the aerofoil on, the wiper end/top (~3") lifts off the screen. That single wiper will (IMO) do nothing to improve cleaning the screen for a RHD car, and will possibly make it worse for your passenger.
  14. Assume he wants one of these (for driver side).
  15. Never saw it for $3k, but in Sep '18 the WA Seller wanted $9500, then in January he had come down to $4500. BHCC have wrecks & strangely enough, a couple have ended up in Europe.
  16. I think it looked better before Ed. Well, maybe not the chrome things on the arches? Was that Atlantik blue?
  17. Thanks for the VIN. Unfortunately I do not have a record of that car, but, you never know, someone on the board might know of it.
  18. You might mention the VIN/mtr #, just in case the original car is still around. In that unlikely event, the mtr may have more value for the original car Owner.
  19. His English is worse than a Nigerian with a smart phone.
  20. C'mon Ray. You know you should have 1 post per part. Before you know it, everyone will be posting like this and we'll have the front/first page back again.
  21. This came up a week or so ago from another guy in the UK. Maybe of some help. BTW, nice Touring. https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/225800-1602-brake-mst-cylinder/?tab=comments#comment-1275761
  22. I wonder if that's one of the CKD cars assembled in Portugal?
  23. Forget rumours, the Touring was designated E6, as can be seen on the sticker above the VIN plate below.
