  1. No clue what the Brits these days say; I've been gone too long. When I say, or hand-write, I would say/use Coupé, but when typing it's easier to type Coupe, than try and find that darn é?
  2. This could make an interesting project. Wonder what's in the boxes? https://www.copart.com/lot/23270669
  3. I guess the price in the UK was a combination of import duty & being a RHD model. In the early 80s I was working in Germany (Siegen) and almost bought a new 520i for around £4000, the equivalent RHD version was close to £8000. It should have been a no-brainer as I was working a good 10 months of the year in Europe. In the end I returned to the UK and bought a trade-in '72 LHD 2000tii Touring for cheap.
  4. Coupé (koopay) is the way most of the World say it, Coupe (koop) is typical US. The Touring badge was cursive, but 3 years later. I don't think the Beach Boys would have a hit if it was "Little Deuce Coupé", it just wouldn't sound right?
  5. G plate started 1 Aug '68, so most likely a '68 build...………..unless it sat in a showroom a long time. I wonder if the badges are glued on, or "pinned" like the 1600/2002 badges.
  6. I've emailed you with what I have on this Touring.
  7. Steve, Please, no publicity...…...however, 02 parts are always welcome?
  8. Ok, 2780966. Matt Groner of Matthews Auto Sales, Houston, TX, was working on the car in 2008. You might want to contact him. At that time it was owned by Francisco Mattei. HTH Edit: FWIW - there's a Francisco A Mattei listed as resident in Houston, TX.
  9. Put the 3 parts nos into Blunttech or Maximilians's site and get a much better price than rogerstii. 61 13 1 353 662, 663 & 664
  10. I do not know the total required of each length for the whole car. I only needed 6 to replace damaged ones under the hood and in the trunk area for my Touring.
  11. According to the website, rogerstii has all 3 sizes (41mm, 53mm & 70mm). I bought them 3 years ago for $1.86 (not Rogerstii). 50% increase in 3 years.... about typical for BMW. Edit: I see Maximillian has them listed for 1.99 each...………..that's realistic. http://www.rogerstii.com/bmw-2002-3-0cs-69mm-long-cable-tie-wiring-holder/
  12. He should have done a write-up on the Touring; the high "sill" was its Achilles heel.
  13. No! We're passing off 2-door saloons as coupes?
  14. It was discussed a while back. https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/221868-1600-coupe/?tab=comments#comment-1261704
  15. And that included jacking the car up & removing the wheels?
  16. Both sides are same design in RHD cars. Grace goes with symmetry!?
  17. I grabbed one of these from a junkyard years ago. E30 convertible rear defrost fan. However, never got to use it so no clue if it would be effective.
  18. Well written. Keep Calm and Carry On.
  19. Ah! Yes it's $10k more than the CA Seller wanted in 2016, and the car has motored a little over 200 miles since then.
  20. Don't worry, it is not a Select Classics car.
  21. Considering he wanted $14k on his first Craigslist Ad (a week ago!), I don't think he'll sell for $7k. It's also on Ebay again with no reserve, so we'll see what happens. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-BMW-2002/123589567040
  22. His price is around 3 times its worth. https://www.regtransfers.co.uk/search/searchresults?criteria=200 I checked to see what "cherished" plates are available for LES. See the results. I should have bought that bloody Spitfire! https://www.regtransfers.co.uk/search/searchresults?criteria=LES
