Not sure it has been repainted. I'm more inclined to think it's the cameras/lighting used.
Looking closely at the rear tag, each side of Oregon (on the tag) is a colour that in both pics pretty much matches the body colour. So the colours on the tag differ slightly also.
Apart from the interior colour, not sure what the current Seller has done to the car to warrant $20k.
Here's the pics from when it was for sale on Craigslist (Florence, OR) Sep 2017 by Owner of 18 years. He was asking $6500!!!!! It had 50k on a "brand new" replacement engine.
There's a few articles that seem to have disappeared. Hope the below links work for you.

This beautiful 2002tii has been restored to concourse quality and it has won a concourse award.
I assume the judges were not that familiar with '02s.
I would expect better for $53k.
Along with the afore-mentioned irregularities...…….Achtung! sticker and cross-hair fuel-temp gauge.
My first '02 (a '70 Euro) had silver rings on the headlights. As the car was LHD & registered in the UK, I had to change the lenses to RHD for the dreaded MOT. Once I passed the MOT test, back on went the LHD lenses as I was working in Europe. I assumed the rings were to stop the lens/glass from falling out after doing an emergency stop
Depends what you ordered.
I think most of their parts are BMW, but, like, for instance, fenders, they have both BMW and aftermarket and they state that. Interesting that you can get 8 aftermarket fenders for 1 BMW fender.
Bought July '86 with 70k and refurbished. I'm the 3rd Owner. After sitting 10 years in my old UK garage, the car was brought over to the US in 2000. Recently, 2015-17, refurbished again with new nose panel, fenders, rear (Touring) wheel arches and Esty carpet. The British Racing Rust has mostly been removed!
