  1. Good grief! The hood side seals are missing.
  2. The Seller has auctioned this car twice, that I know of. July & October 2017, and in both auctions quoted the VIN as 2782567. So, 2780567, was in a Copart auction back in Sep 2011 in Long Island, NY. Here's a few pics from the Copart auction.
  3. 2782567. Supposedly just sold on Ebay for $32,500 out of Orange, CA. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-BMW-2-Series-2002-Tii-/302509989539?hash=item466f001ea3%3Ag%3AjNYAAOSwP6NZx%7Eav&vxp=mtr&nma=true&si=BYAGokH28ms0JGKjtf0I9myEY9A%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

  5. If you look closely at my pic (center right side), you'll see 2 of the 3 holes that the bolts pass through to secure the top hinge. They are square and allow for adjustment up-down & tilt forward-aft. The later can be used to remove door sag. Same at the bottom of the door for the lower hinge mounting.
  6. It's in section 41 of the BMW 2002 Repair Manual. In the Forum, check Technical Articles, then, History & Reference, then, BMW 2002 Service Repair Manual. Item 6 - Body Work. Unfortunately, only a bit of the front of the car shows up. Maybe Steve K can insert the pic I posted into Item 6.
  7. Correct. It was a "Select Classics" car. They moved it on about a year ago.
  8. Terry Sayther Automotive. http://www.terrysaytherauto.com
  9. Assuming the carb was manufactured in Europe, I would have thought the thread would be 1/8" bspt. Finding NPT fittings overseas can be as rare as rocking horse droppings.
  10. Google Bimmer Brothers Evan Esterman
  11. It was on Ebay Apr '17 by the Owner (Santa Cruz) that bought the car in Austin, TX in 2004. Supposedly sold for $10,350. Then, as you noted, for sale for $10, 500 in Aug. in San Jose., then on Ebay & Craigslist (Castro Valley) Sep '17 for $15,500. Now Evan is trying to sell/auction for the past two months. Must be something up with the car, other than the mileage is now 20k less than it was in April.
  12. It's been on Ebay for the past month or so. Doesn't meet the reserve. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-BMW-2002/202108373365?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  13. Not being versed in abbreviations, I looked it up. Amazing! Bov From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Bov can refer to many things: Bov (mythology) - A king in Celtic mythology. Bov municipality - A municipality in Denmark. Bug-out vehicle - Bug-out vehicle, used by survivalists to escape a calamity. Blowoff valve - An element of modern turbocharged vehicles. BOV (APC) - A Yugoslavian wheeled armoured personnel carrier. Bov and Gara Bov ("Bov Station"), villages in Svoge municipality, Sofia Province, Bulgaria. Bolivian Mvdol (funds code), an ISO4217 registered currency code BOV: Broker Opinion of Value. In scuba diving with a rebreather: bailout valve: valve to turn to switch to breathing from an open-circuit bailout. BoV - Bank of Valletta, a bank in Malta.
  14. Born and raised in Bournemouth. No one is more surprised to see the Cherries in the Premier League. I played a couple of times for Bournemouth Town while a schoolboy.
  15. April 1987 at Keystone Garage, Bournemouth, UK. Since then it has been independent BMW shops.
  16. Protection Cap Part #s 52 10 7 402 073 & 074. 2 of each required (thus 2 per seat). I have a pair off my Touring. Never took a pic of them fitted and couldn't for the life of me see how they went back on. I'll fix it later!
  17. A few months ago I had a rental car that displayed all 4 tyre pressures. After a 6 hour Interstate trip the pressures had increased 9~10 psi.
  18. +1 probably been repainted and the mix not correct; too dark for Riviera & too light for Atlantik.......it's Rivantik!
  19. Bearing in mind, that the Owner's Manual states tyre pressures for cold tyres, so, once you get speeding down the highway the pressures will increase ~4 psi.
  20. I (well the body shop) fitted W & N rear wheel arch panels to my Touring. As far as I know they cut away the quarter panel and tacked/stitched the arches on.
