  1. The pic below shows the most popular location for the Fuse & Tyre stickers on '74tiis (& others) that appear not to have been messed with. My findings, having scoured my picture files: The US only(?) "Capacity/Tyre" sticker, that appears to have made the larger, more usual, Tyre sticker obsolete on '75 & '76 cars, was placed in the pass side plenum above the Emissions sticker on 74tiis & (I think) on base '02s. On '75 & some '76 cars it moved to the front of the pass side inner fender. On '76s with no VIN plate, it was located above the colour sticker (the colour sticker took the place of the VIN plate). Above Pic courtesy of Steve.
  2. The Touring's B-pillar chrome trim is circa 10~12mm longer than the saloon. I never realised that Targa does not have the front quarter windows until now.......amazing. Where do you flick your cigarette ash?
  3. I'm curious as to what the difference between the Targa & Saloon seals is. The L & R seals for the Touring are the same part # as the saloon, and they fit the Touring door opening ok. As the Touring and Targa have a similar shape door opening, I wonder if maybe the profile, for whatever reason, is different. It is was just a matter of length, there are ways and means.
  4. Good point. I think the remote servo/booster appeared later in '66 (Sep~Oct maybe).
  5. Ha, I have a spare excellent Vol 2 Repair manual. Let me get some pics to you.
  6. All early '66 1600-2s had that remote booster, and a few of the early 2002s. This one has been identified as a '66, but the 1600ti did not appear until late '67.
  7. And, it's back. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-BMW-2002-Custom-/272868030242?hash=item3f8833b722:g:EXIAAOSwIylZwJyk&vxp=mtr I was going to replace certain parts and components but recently I developed some medical problems and won't be able to finish and fine tune this 02. It's a nice Tii for the price. I think he knows exactly what he's doing.
  8. I also had a pair of W & N fenders fitted along with their nose panel. Not perfect, but no great problem considering my local bodyshop had never seen an '02 before!
  9. The '75 Fjord. The Seller has done the Euro bumpers correctly (no over-riders on the back) and they compliment the square lights. Car looks great.
  10. Those pics are from when it was on Ebay back in 2014. Sise Bmw, Glendale?, CA were auctioning it. It reportedly sold for $24k.
  11. Looks like he has mixed & matched cars & parts. His other (just ended) auction (link below) noted the VIN as 2380631, but the VIN plate showed 2370332.......however, the driver door has VIN tag 2380631 on it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1975-BMW-2002-2-door-coupe/272851742543?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  12. I asked for the chassis VIN via the Ebay auction, but got no response. Here's another of his '02 auctions, where he uses the VIN on the door rather than the correct VIN on the chassis. He's dabbled in a few '02s.......... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1975-BMW-2002-2-door-coupe/272851742543?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  13. Wood cluster on Euro '73 ONLY if built after end Aug '73 which is the beginning of the "model 73" '02.
  14. Check this German website as they show both and left side "wheel housings". https://cahsel.de/en/spares-bmw02/sheet-metal/ Also, I found some unobtainium '02 Touring parts through Lars in Germany. His email is lapo-classics@gmx.de HTH
  15. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-BMW-2002-Custom/272853297699?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 Seller, so far, has refused to answer questions.
  16. Endless amounts of reading here.............. https://www.bmw2002faq.com/gsearch/?q=soundproofing#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=soundproofing&gsc.page=1 https://www.bmw2002faq.com/gsearch/?q=carpet%20for%20a%20'76#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=carpet%20for%20a%20'76&gsc.page=1 https://www.bmw2002faq.com/gsearch/?q=where%20to%20buy%20headliner#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=where%20to%20buy%20headliner&gsc.page=1
  17. So it was a regular 1 of 627 RHD 1600-2 produced. Here's some interesting reading from our friends to the right of the pond. http://02forum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=12200
  18. Good point. The car doesn't really have the attributes of either an Alpina or 1600ti. Really need the VIN.
  19. I have a lot of 1602/2002 info, but, other than quotes like the above ad, nothing from BMW that shows 4 RHD 1600ti s. I wonder if they were done in the UK like the two known RHD Turbos?
  20. I always thought the wires in a tube idea was good. Naturally, the tube is long NLA.
  21. Here's a start. https://www.bmw2002faq.com/articles.html/technical-articles/history-and-reference/bmw-2002-service-repair-manual-r247/
