  1. As Paul said, those are Touring parts numbers. All are NLA. (the B-pillar "chrome" trim is also NLA) FWIW I used the sedan seals on my Touring. They are way longer than needed for the sedan (particularly at the top), but fall short for the Touring. I added some parts from some spare seals. Not ideal by any means but with the window fitted they are not that noticeable, and hopefully will not let water in. Hopefully BMW will remember it made a Touring version and start making the many Touring parts that are now NLA.
  2. If you haven't already, I would ask here...............http://www.02forum.co.uk/ Maybe Jaymic, http://www.jaymic.com/shop/parts.asp might have a 2nd hand one.
  3. $350!! Really? Is it gold plated? https://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/index.cfm?make=BMW&year=&searchText=51131826675&action=oePartSearch&siteid=214672

  5. All Euro (& probably the rest of the World) rear bumpers had the licence plate lights in the centre bumper piece, all US rear bumpers did not. Hence, those that know will recognise this as a US rear bumper assembly. The corner pieces are Euro though.
  6. Yes, that's me. PM me, I may be able to help.
  7. So what you're saying is, you cut it to fit a little bit at a time. You could lop an easy 5" off the top and still have enough left over for "trim to fit".
  8. I have attached the trimming foil to the doors. No worries, it sticks like the proverbial to a blanket.
  9. Try your local junkyard for an E24 & grab the fronts. I think the cable length from the bottom of the receiver is maybe 5~6" long. From what I can see on my E24, the front receiver (less cable) looks the same shape as the rear one. Not much of it sticks out the rear console anyway.
  10. You need to separate them. One bolt holding the pair is not real safe and not (I believe) how they are mounted in the E24. As Simeon said, you need to modify them; maybe take the bend out and make them straight so they can be bolted through the edge/side of the tunnel (like the front receivers).
  11. I bought the trap mirror to door seals around 10 years ago in preparation for my Touring refurbish. So, today I opened the boxes. The pic shows new seal on top, and old (original) seal beneath. Suffice to say they are useless. If anyone has bought some lately I would suggest inspecting them real quick, so you can return them if BMW's supplier is still making them like this. I'll re-use the originals!
  12. The bracket is 51 12 1 817 357 (item 3 in the pic) Put this part # into realoem or Maximillian's site, and you'll bring up the whole page 51/9 showing all the parts you may need.
  13. +1 I guess both ends are "Euro", but the middle is definitely USA. Kinda like the so-called tii alloy wheels; they were an accessory available for all '02 models, but, were actually part of the factory "sport package" for the Touring.
  14. Likewise, I got it from W&N along with several Touring parts a year or so ago. W&N do not need your life's history (or your cars') if you are ordering parts for a BMW that wasn't originally supplied to the US.
  15. Thanks, appreciate the reply. I have both sides ready to go......but......I'll give it a day or so until I'm "confident" everything in the door is in place, tight & adjusted as best can be.
  16. So, I have searched!! I realise this trimming foil for the doors has an adhesive side.....but.....is it enough to keep it on the door, or, should I apply some sort of glue? Thanks
  17. I also cross my 7s, mainly 'cos I worked in Germany & Austria a lot during the '70s. Here's a pic from the Europa Service Booklet. My vote would be "Garage Witikon"
  18. Looking at the hand-written entry (crossed 7) for the 5000 mile service, I would think it was done in Europe. I have a 1977 BMW Service Europa booklet and it shows a total of 12 BMW Dealers in Zurich.
  19. That's an odd "Euro" rear bumper. No licence plate lights in the bumper and (what looks like) front bumper over-riders!
  20. Nice to see another one in TN. Here's a pic of your car back in 2008 when it was Purple!!! Reportedly the Ebay Seller was part of the original Owner Family & lived in Columbia, SC.
  21. Nope, I have no info on it. Steve, 2781410 was built 25 Feb '74, so the above motor would be real close, maybe the same day.
  22. Was that Rob Torres' Atlantik Trg tii near by?
  23. Wow! The circlip costs more than double the cost of the pin.
  24. I'm amazed you find the time to write books with all the BMW mechaniking that you do?
  25. Evan sold this one before back in 2008. The car has done the rounds. It was on Ebay Dec 2016 and is still up for sale here at $14,850 http://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=348861
