  1. When the car was on Ebay (Port Elizabeth) many years ago, it was reported to have been originally ordered with Alpina parts. It also had some neat looking sport seats (Scheels?) back then.
  2. Steve, Yes they may well be NLA. I'm finding, for my Touring rebuild, that many parts are shown with prices but when I try and order them they are either NLA or on a 10 year backorder. Frustrating to say the least. I guess BMW does not update part availability as often as it should.
  3. Part # 41 33 1 835 659. Plug the number into your favourite supplier. Cheapest I found was $1050.
  4. It was resto'd by Oldenzaal Classics, Netherlands. They had it on Ebay last December with a "buy it now" of $125k. The auction ended early.
  5. The Euro cars had a "side light/parking light" in the headlight reflector (5W I think). I don't know of a Euro car with one in the front indicator light. Maybe this was a USA thing?
  6. Nice use of the English language. I guess a carpet set is not in your future.
  7. I viewed your post Paul with interest. When I removed the sending unit from my Touring, it fell apart, and for the life of me I couldn't see what was supposed to hold it all together.. Whilst my s/unit differs slightly from yours (3 wires and a guide post), until I saw your post I did not realise there was a 2nd nut at the bottom. In case anyone has a s/unit similar to mine, the filter screen can be removed revealing the bottom nut, or, would have done if mine had a nut there (hence the unit falling apart). No clue how he nut came off, and disappeared off the face of the earth, as the screen was still on the bottom of the cylindrical tube. Re-assembling it with the addition of the guide post is going to be a bugger I'm sure. unit as it came out of tank inside face outside face (screen attaches to this face)
  8. That's a pity. How can you prevent Sellers commandeering the first page if it's ok "one part, one post"? Right now "KARNUT1" has it.
  9. Not so Mike. Bulging Blinkers part #s 63 13 1 354 557 & 558 only for the Touring tii. Part of the Touring tii sport paket. Surprisingly, they are (or were 2 years ago) still available. They are now on my "to be finished one day" Touring. Whilst I realise everyone drools over the flat Euro Blinkers, the bulging ones are so much more visible (stand 50ft or so directly in front of the car while the Euros are blinking). I can always revert back to Euro if I get bored with them.
  10. Under the hood - VIN tag should be where the colour sticker is in the pic below, also stamped into the body in dark rectangle bottom left of the pic.
  11. The ones in my pic, were attached to the heater box in my Nov '73 Touring. Two spare boxes I have from '76 '02s did not have them, but the fixing holes were there. Not sure if they fell off over the years, or if perhaps later cars did not have them.
  12. DHL was good when DHL operated in the US, now incoming DHL packages are taken over (it seems) by USPS. It was ok, but the DHL tracking number would disappear. I just received a W & N order; it left their warehouse 15 March, sat in Cologne 17-19 March, and I received it 21 March. If it hadn't of enjoyed the nightlife in Cologne it would have been decently quick.
  13. Yes, like I said, the inner mounting point is missing. Maybe the broken mount is still attached to your "uber rare" 4-piece dash. Here's one with it still attached, followed by its mate which has broken off.
  14. Justin - hopefully the following pics will help you. I believe they have to be attached to the dash before the dash is fitted. I have all the under dash panels removed on my Touring and I cannot get my hand (fingers) on the nut near the end of the dash. Maybe someone else can chime in with a method if, in the unlikely event, it is possible to fit them with the dash fitted. FWIW, the nuts fit onto studs which are fixed to (part of) the dash.
  15. About 10 years ago it was owned by Jonathan Pecsok (NJ) who was, at that time, frequent on this forum. I believe the car may have been his Fathers. It has seen a few colours before its now Blue hue.
  16. For the defrost vents I would think you need to fix them to the dash before the dash is installed. How you get to the attachment on the corner is beyond me. The one at the other end may well be accessible. For the ducts, what Mike said, unless you have a RHD car as you need Kevlar gloves to snake it behind the hanging pedals. I'm sure my scars will heal eventually. Or, if you mean the two deflector vents under the box, they are held in with a plastic "plug" (similar idea to the door panels). Vents are marked L & R so you can't go wrong.......unless you're upside down under the dash.
  17. For those that have a need to know, BMW handed the '74-'76 shroud for the tii clock. So, if like me, you have a RHD car waiting for the clock, you need a RHD shroud for the clock. Not sure what it would look like if I use the LHD shroud in the RHD dash. The shroud-cover for the earlier clock was not handed. Go figure. View from the top view from the side It was nice day yesterday to work on the cars.....I digress.
  18. I have a copy of a 2002 Brochure dated Feb '74 and it shows an Inka Touring with the rockers panels black. I guess I need to paint my Touring's black before I get too far along.
  19. Congratulations, you have taken over page 1 of the For Sale Board.
  20. I've often wondered why BMW never produced a RHD 1600ti or 2002ti, as they did produce RHD NK 1800ti and 2000ti.
  21. FWIW 2365048 - for sale in the Roundel in 2004 and was in CT. Car manufactured very late April or early May 1975.
  22. Not all for sure. My RHD Touring has the indent, but two spare one-piece (LHD) dashes do not.
