  1. The remodeled torsion bar end arrived mid '71. Maybe to stop the hood creaming the centre grill on the earlier models?
  2. What is the VIN?
  3. This is what I would expect the numbering to look like on an original block (with + at either end).
  4. Maybe it's my screen, but the colour looks more like Jade Green (non '72 colour) than Agave. Perhaps a repaint?
  5. FWIW - the mystery hole appears (apparently) on most models up to end '73. Pics that I have show it was used for battery(?) neg earth lead, or to position an additional relay. 1967 1600ti 1968 2002 1971 2002 1972 2002 1973 2002
  6. Anyone know for sure which way up these things go (is it the left one, or the right one)? If you look closely at the pic, they are not symmetrical. TIA
  7. Was owned by Scottie Sharpe in 2007 (some of you may remember him?) and reportedly had Hardy & Beck suspension components.
  8. Have you tried Bronzit-Beige Metallic? I think the colour code is 139.
  9. FYI http://www.jimvickautosales.com/vehicle-details/1975-bmw-2002-sedan-b382d3dc16aa354399c06f5dcb43c9a8/
  10. Is this a competition? getbmwparts.com = $24.14 https://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/index.cfm?make=BMW&year=&searchText=64214474121&action=oePartSearch&siteid=214672
  11. Mtr quoted as 2762323. 2762323 was on Ebay in Nov '05 in Los Angeles, CA, and was Verona with Black interior & sunroof. 2780827 was on Ebay in Dec '05 in Los Angeles. Could there be an interesting story here? Also, 2780827 was on Ebay last month by it's 2005-2016 Owner in Iowa.
  12. I believe "grace goes with symmetry" and, therefore, both mirrors should be positioned same distance from door leading edge. My RHD Touring, bought in 1986, came with both "trap" mirrors that way and I have never had a problem with vision no matter which side of the road I'm driving on!
  13. That's far from a basket case, IMHO.
  14. 1976 Autos (& manuals) were produced through July 1976, according to info I have. FYI: 2393280 Polaris was on Ebay in 2005, located Brooklyn, NY. 2745581 Fjord was on Ebay in 2013, located in Orlando, FL.
  15. Sorry, double post....tried to delete.....failed miserably!
  16. 2763346 As it was in Dallas, it may turn up soon at Select Classics?
  17. Yep, same pics when it was on Ebay Oct 2013. The Seller stated the car exterior was Atlantik then......go figure. He's owned it 4 yrs & has been trying to sell it for 2.5 that I know of. Unusual to find a brown interior in a blue car.
  18. Tony, The one you pictured in 2007 may be a different one. It has the black knee trim, whereas the one for sale now had that removed in the 90s resto.
  19. This one was on ebay late 2014 and supposedly sold, however, same pics on Auto Trader as the 2014 auction, so probably the same seller/owner. It used to be Pastel Blue before a '90s resto.
  20. Not sure if this is pertinent to your question, but, my Nov '73 build RHD Touring has the exact same left and right heater-blower plates that you have.
  21. So, it's a "zero rust" car with horrible surface rust on the hood. Nice one; are you new at this?
  22. I guess it is a smaller version Jim; I'd never noticed it before now. Getting the two sections of the rear seats out was a real chore. It's not quite as rusty now as it was......it's coming along.....slowly.
  23. Steve, Here's a couple of pics of mine. Don't look under the carpeted shock towers unless you want to be surprised!!!!
