  1. The "Blue" parts book shows a rear mounted seat belt which appears (as David said) to be mounted to the rear parcel shelf.
  2. I think he/she joined only to make the complaint. If Mark's posting ticks off the Flippers & those looking to part out salvageable '02s for $$$$$......then so be it. Keep it up Mark.
  3. This Seller (Koorosh) has had many '02s pass through his business over the past few years, so, he must have learned something about them. Strange that he would spin a tale if not part, at least, were true (maybe this USA model remained in Europe, wherever, until the '90s). No clue about the roll cage, but "French" round taillights were available from BMW, along with orange headlights for the French market. Just like the USA only taillights were available from BMW. Bidding is already at $30k; maybe it's the cloisonné Rally badge that's the clincher.
  4. Talking of plates.............do 2002AD re-cycle theirs????
  5. Steve, I've added a few more to your list. 2762632 – 07 Oct ‘72 2762639 – 10 Oct ‘72 2762643 – 10 Oct ‘72 2762692 – 12 Oct ‘72 2762730 – 13 Oct ‘72 2762733 – 20 Oct ‘72 2762757 – 19 Oct ‘72 2762820 – 24 Oct ‘72 2762856 – 26 Oct ‘72 2762950 – 02 Nov ‘72 2762958 – 06 Nov ‘72 2763019 – 09 Nov ‘72 2763052 – 15 Nov ‘72 2763058 – 15 Nov ‘72 2763062 – 15 Nov ‘72 2763075 – 17 Nov ‘72 Dates are what Owners have quoted. I believe the first '73 model tii was 2762630 (or close to it)
  6. Yes, one end taper could be off to the other. Here's pics of a new one I bought a long time ago........didn't need no fancy instruments to see this one had problems.
  7. You seem to have a Golde sunroof from a Porsche. I think Mercedes also used the same/similar design. The American Sunroof Company CA also fitted Golde sunroofs in the '60s & '70s so maybe a previous Owner had it fitted?
  8. Vol 2 starts at 31. However, looks like all the title insert pages are there, and judging by the thickness of the pages in the book, both volumes are in the one binder.
  9. As the original poster of this message is in Norway, he would have a Euro '74. As far as I know, all Euros up through the end of production had the washer bottle on the passenger fender, and, the coil also on the passenger fender up towards the firewall.
  10. Did you fly over to see it, or, are you assuming the rust is bad?
  11. John, we have the Hotel booked, but currently the Touring looks like this:- Might have to come there in the E24?
  12. As "mlytle" said, start at the sensor end first. The prev owner may just have unplugged the original wire and it's hangin' there. If not, then go to the cluster connection.
  13. FYI: That car was originally Jadegrün, not Agave, and was a CA car up to 2012.
  14. Have you used the search function......for Select classics?
  15. Really!! If your selling a part, having a box already to hand should be logical. I'm pretty sure there is a post office within easy reach of most people. If a business does not have a part in stock, they will tell you (email) so you know and not leave you in the dark........at least that's my experience with the Companies I use. Perhaps you work differently with your business?
  16. There was a heat shield on US '76s for sure; don't remember there being one on the early cars though.
  17. Aha, maybe that was the change noted in the parts manual at 4291212. Perhaps the last 460 had centre exit.
  18. Well spotted. One detail I didn't mention last time........it has lost its "snorkel" that it had in 2011.
  19. The USA 1600-2 ended in Mar '71, then 232 USA 1602s were made in Apr '71 and that was it. For the rest of the World, LHD 1602s ended in Jun '75 and RHD 1602s ended in Oct '75.
  20. I have many pics of Turbos and the centre v right side exhaust exit is completely up in the air. ie #298, 352, 583, 633, 895, 971 and 1365 are all right side #386, 497, 634, 772, 1431 are all centre exit. It could be that some cars had new lower rear valances fitted, but, this many??? The Blue parts book shows a part # number change for the rear Turbo exhaust section at 4291212, but what that change was I do not know. As for non-USA '02s, they retained the right side exit exhaust (except the Touring, which was always left exit, & Turbo).
  21. Here's the hood prop for my "Da Beater". I do have the latching arrg't, but no stays as I have fiberglass fenders. Ingenious eh? Even gave it a part number. It tucks nicely away in the trunk when not required!
  22. it appears that 2002s manufactured Jan-Feb 1970 had the single rib and the crossways cut-outs. Cars with VINs around 1670900 and 1671940 had both. I cannot find a pic of a 1600-2 with both. ie 1570587 had only the rib and 1570932 had only the cut-outs. There may have been a few 1600-2s with both?
