  1. Maybe too many zeros in the price?? Otherwise, they will have to wait a long time before someone pays that. Someone gives me $1100.00 and they can take my 76 away. Edit...... Thanks to all of you that emailed or responded to my comments in this thread. I appreciate your interest in my car, I was sort of joking when I responded to this thread, but when a good friend found out that I was even thinking about getting it out of my driveway, he made me an offer I couldn't refuse, and we struck a deal. Don't worry, it is being adopted into a very nice family who will treat it well.
  2. Not mine, but I sure love the ones I bought (practically stole). Also had to clean up and paint. Before pic
  3. Just to add to the "rehash", here is the link to a past discussion http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/t,309267/highlight,ipod+connection+blaupunkt/ Yes, it is a 6 pin plug. Here are some of the pics from french site referred in the link. It is no longer available, but I saved the pics if you want to try a DIY job. With this system run the wire wherever you want, plug into Ipod or MP3, just tune to a dead spot on the dial, and play your Ipod. Schematic for Stereo connections
  4. Look up sarcastic in the dictionary, and you will find Ray's picture. He only picks on those he cares about. We did miss you. (Sorta like missing a root canal). It is a lot more fun picking on you in person.
  5. Great pictures, Ray. Did you take all of them? I noticed that someone closed the gas door between pictures on the 325is. Congratulations on another well-deserved win amidst tough competition.
  6. Wow, I didn't even notice that. Seems to be some kind of dual strut set-up like the liftgate on the Touring. Maybe someone else got a better close-up. Don't know if this helps....?? Have to go back to my original pics at home and see if I can blow it up more.
  7. Just a picture "Bump" for those who never get to the second page of topics.
  8. Sorta random pics of my day at the 09 SoCal Vintage, starting with the drive down. Enjoy...
  9. I will try to call you around 6 am to see where you are. ( I hope not the I-5 ) Otherwise, call me..Cell# eight zero five, six nine eight - one three two one That goes for you too, Gordon, Jan, or Daniel. Or whoever.
  10. They are pretty soft, should be able to carefully pound it out from the back. Use a block of wood or dowel and gently tap it out, resting the bumper on something soft, like a rug. You can "tweak" the bent edge back with an adjustable crescent wrench. Using it sort of like a vice, gently bending the edge back to it's original position. Padding the edge with a towel or cloth. I was able to pound out this dent, when someone (girl in SUV on cell) backed into me with their trailer hitch. Came out pretty well. It helped that it was behind the license plate.
  11. Michael, It looks like you have found your new avatar, as well as a new nickname for Bacchus, "PantyDropper" It could be right up there with Matthew's as one of the coolest avatars. Sorry for the hijack, now back to the well deserved praise for Matthew's ride.
  12. most people don't say "cute", but they all seem to ask about the year..since it is my DD, I get the question several times a week, and others following me around taking pictures.
  13. Might make that happen, keep in touch. I will see if I can wedge some rocks in the treads of my tires for you......
  14. It is beautiful!! I think you need to drive it to LA this weekend for the SoCal Show. Nice Work
  15. I would love to connect with all of you in the AM, but I suspect that you might be going down the "boring" I-5 instead of the 101 to save some time. Otherwise we can run back up the 101 going home. Much prettier drive.
  16. Thought I would start a thread to network drives to SoCal meet on Sat. 10/24. I will be leaving Santa Barbara around 6:30 AM Sat. Should hit Ventura around 7:00 AM then on to Woodley Park. Anyone else from Central Coast want to hook up or even ride along, Email or post reply. Hope to create lots of caravans of BMWs to the event..Even some back home through some "twisties". Others welcome to hijack thread for your own caravan. Sign-up for event if you haven't yet. Morning drives along the ocean are spectacular...
  17. you need some flies buzzing around the headlights and the sound of whining starters in the background to make it more compelling. Do you take paypal??
  18. Don't even click here unless you love old sports car racing in California and have lots of time to kill. Wonderful site on California racing in the 60's. Good way to kill a couple of hours. http://www.tamsoldracecarsite.net/index.html#SpecialSections

  21. Most likely Friday, I am afraid of organizing another caravan... just kidding. I would like to take the back roads and take my time getting there. Stay Friday & Sat. night and comeback on Sunday. Hopefully I can talk my better half into it... Coming thru SB?? Bring lots of ballpoint pens for repairs... Email me if you have housing needs. Looking forward to event. LAST YEAR'S EVENT
  22. I was the first to sign-up, other than Jeff, does that count for anything? I had to work the bugs out of the registration system. Should we start planning our Central Coast morning run to the meet??
