  1. Google "Vinyl car wraps" and see what you get....Here is one to check out http://www.superwraps.com/ good luck
  2. That is how most race cars are "painted" now, they are "wrapped". Pretty cool process. Some sign companies can do that. Busses, Cars, Trucks. I guess this is not what you had in mind....
  3. Little over 100 miles (2hrs) Thanks for the announcement, Jeff, we will have to try to put something together. (3hrs from SB)
  4. I would invest in new points, and work out problems before introducing a new variable like installing pertronix. (They sometimes require some "tweaking"). Points are cheap and solve lots of issues. When everything is running smooth, then try the pertronix.
  5. maybe a Pertronix would help.....other than that, should be good as new.. Gee.....What happened??
  6. Thanks for the heads up. almost forgot
  7. Search is your friend... http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/t,308527/highlight,euro+lights/
  8. OK, OK, OK, since you asked so nicely.... last year at Cars and Coffee in Irvine, California Here is a random collection, many are board members, from drive last month. Just fun pics..
  9. Thanks for the link, Randy. That is a great thread with a hugh amount of good information. I will have to bookmark that one. This should help explain the VIN numbering in Uruguay to Sebastian. Some of the numbers referred in that thread are just a couple hundred from his VIN. Wow, I learn something new about these wonderful cars everyday.
  10. all 02s were originally manufactured with matching motor/chassis VIN numbers. Your number does not match any number series listed. Is the motor a 4 cylinder with 2 carbs?? The number does match a motor from a 86 325i 6 cylinder motor. Did you list the number correctly? Welcome to the forum, I hope we can come up with an explanation. The chassis numbers are stamped just in front of the windshield on the inner wing panel. There should also be a metal plate riveted to the right inner wing panel with the VIN number. If it is a 1970 model is should have round tailights, unless someone modified it with square lights.
  11. Felt it here in Santa Barbara, No damage though...
  12. The bumper is designed to pull out of the bolt on the fender (there is a horizontal slot in the bumper tab, and sort of a rubber grommet). You can probably pull the bumper back out the 1/2 inch it was pushed in. The brackets are pretty puny. Then you can reattach the end of the bumper to the fender. Pull it until the holes line up again. Should be good as new. Someone backed into my bumper once with their bumper hitch. (Girl on Cellphone in SUV). Tweaked and dented the bumper and euro license plate. Took it off and was able to pull and pound it back to almost new.
  13. Looks great, Aaron...Where are you located?? SoCal?? Welcome.
  14. Great Info, Tom. Thanks a lot. It is very helpful for someone who has a 76 with weber in California. (like me). It has been sitting in driveway until I can get it smogged. What fun!!
  15. but is it getting any "Love" lately since the new girl came to town? Unfortunately, when I give it "longing looks" it knows that I am just looking for parts to "borrow" off of it. I did "bling" up its bumper when we had the aluminum bumper thread. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/t,307280/
  16. Looks identical to the one in my 76. Doesn't say anything on it, but I always thought it was a Frigiking. I have had it since new. All the parts look identical also.
  17. There is always Ashley's version. True devotion to the marque....
  18. Now how do we know that "you" aren't actually "her"......
  19. It's a whole diffrent croud. Has a hip hop type flavor. None the less, they're mostly all enthusiasts. BTW, it's hatorade.:-D Cris Since we are being picky....It is Friday, July 11th, 2008, not the 10th. Sorry I can't make it, a bit of a drive from here.
  20. Absolutely. Now that was classic.....Thanks CD
  21. Damn glad to meet you, Deryck. I've given this a lot of thought. And from now on, your new FAQer name is . . . Flounder. And as part of your question-asking initiation, you have to ask a carpet question. Everyone around here loves carpet questions. PS - that suit is OUT. Get a Zoot. Hey Deryck, welcome aboard. Don't take Otis's comments personally. He has been a little crabby ever since he wasn't able to see Angelyne's pink, plastic, "happy-face" dress in person like I did. He threatened to name me "PinkaSteve" out of jealousy. By the way, Inka is a factory 2002 color...PINK is not.
  22. We are all fine...thanks for asking..My daughter's house is closer to it than we are. Knocked everyone's power out last night for a while. Really looks spooky when the city is dark and the fire is blazing in the hills A representative slide show: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27849758@N05/tags/gapfire/show/ Here are some links to news reports :... http://www.newspress.tv/main.jsp?category=News&id=273 http://www.santamariatimes.com/articles/2008/07/03/news/breaking/breaking20.txt http://www.kcoy.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=23bf822f-cbe0-4733-8b0e-9b0fc3149376
