  1. There doesn't seem to be any organized 02 caravan other that Paul Cain's. Which I suspect will be passing Camarillo around 7:30-7:45. At this point in time there probably won't be a Camarillo stop. I can e-mail you Andy's cell # and you can track them through him. I may come down the coast a little and meet up with you guys. The Bimmerfest people are holding a special area for us to park in, but can't let us in early. It would be best to be ahead of the large socal BMW caravan (The Balboa park group) to avoid a major traffic issue.
  2. still got yours if it hasn"t changed ends with 340?? yes?
  3. email me. we can exchange cell #s and coordinate plans...I am already here...
  4. just a bump for the bimmerfest group..email me..we can exchange cell #s
  5. There should be someplace to stash the trailer on the showgrounds. It is a pretty big place with stables and additional parking nearby. If not, you can always put it in front of my house about a mile away..
  6. We need to see if we can get a group to meet at the Las Posas, Camarillo Meeting point and connect up when you come through. I would come down from SB and caravan in with all of you. I will check with the Bimmerfest folk and have them let us in early all at once. Glad that all of you are coming...should be great.
  7. Welcome... Orange is good.....nice work. Where are you located?
  8. Amazing....with "bigger roundies" and "longer Nozzles" we got everything covered....Tourings really are unique. Now I have to go to the garage and check out the engine bay again.
  9. They say that TV will take off 10 lbs.....it looks like Bombay TV took about 40 lbs off of Norm. At least he saved the day....
  10. I am sure we will have a "vintage" area. I know the organizers like having us there. And it is nice having a "gathering" without having to do all the organizing. We need to start rattling the other SoCal "web" connections. Nobody decides until a week before. Sometimes the day before. hope you can make it.
  11. Did it break getting it out? or is it stuck in on position? Is the steering wheel locked? If the steering is unlocked, you can remove the ignition "switch" from the back of the lock with a small straight blade screwdriver(two screws), and temporarily drive it until it can be fixed.
  12. I will be there. The only thing that would keep me away would be if my daughter goes into labor early with my first grandchild. Do we need to organize some sort of SoCal caravan, and a way to meet up with the NorCal 02's? I know Pierre can't make it this year, so we are on our own. We should be able to get our own area again this year, but I think that would require us to get there a little early. Keep this thread bumped and get a head count.
  13. Whoever painted the touring actuallly did sign it...found a signature under the rear roundel. They really did a nice job though... My 76 still has the original paint, and I have always been impressed as to how smooth it is. It is still nice to look across the hood.
  14. The red is good for at least a couple extra MPH.
  15. great pics, Mike It's nice to know that Tourings can hang with the big fish. I think you created a new title "baby shark". I would love to drive those areas in my Touring. Only visited in rental cars... but beautiful country. Rivals some of the areas in California.
  16. Was 80+mph too fast, or too slow for them?? I like that "BabyShark" term. From another minishark...
  17. where are you coming from?? north? south? should have a good group from the south. Pierre will probably arrange a caravan from the south.
  18. less than a month away....how many are going??
  19. Other than CD's suggestion, It was my thinking that grounding the wire would cause the light to light. I am assuming that you have already checked the Brake Fluid level, along with all the wiring and floats associated with it. The light is also the low brake fluid light. Mine comes on even if the level is just a little below full.
  20. that's how they should be...get it on the station you want then pull out one of the push buttons then push it back in until it bottoms out A lot of us grew up with that type of radio. But I just realized that some have never seen mechanical radio buttons and think "monaural" is some disease you get from kissing.
  21. excellent question...I too, have spent too much on wheel "cleaners" but haven't found the answer yet. Although I now have some new Meguiars wheel cleaner I will try, and report. I HATE brake dust. I eagerly await other's solutions. Gee, I wonder what the WienerWagon uses??
  22. They are not the usual.."pull out, and push back in" type?? My Blaupunkt Nurnberg is that way.
