  1. If Jonny says "hey, watch this", I cover my eyes...after all it is a full moon.
  2. forwarded you the last e-mail I received. Let me know if you didn't get it.
  3. If I came, I would bring the Touring. It would probably drive anywhere I want. It is solid and smooth, just like new.....but, unfortunately I have been invited to my granddaughters birthday, one of the few things that would keep me from 02'ers. I am hoping FestWest is coming soon, I can't wait. Here is the Touring waiting for the boat in the ice and snow in Germany. It is much warmer and happier now!!
  4. Great story so far, Kevin Welcome to California Drivin'. Santa Barbara is only 5 hrs away on some beautiful roads. You are welcome here to visit your center grille piece. Enjoy yourself
  5. here are the threads you missed: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,278318/ http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,278476/ http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,279015/ Sorry about the hijack, Stever. Now back to your regular program..
  6. See what happens when you go and run off to Korea for a few weeks. I lose all my self control. Ask Rob T. when he plans to have FestWest this year. I want to come up.
  7. I too, am watching the website for a date. Haven't seen one yet, but I don't think it has been cancelled. After 15 years, it will happen in one form or another. If I hear anything, I will post it. I do want to go, just need to know when to be there. If anyone else knows anything more...speak up. I guess I could call Rob T., but I am not that worried yet.
  8. I like the 5 1/2" steelies on the rear, but the 5" on the front sorta gives it that tiptoe look. TOURING "TIPTOE" LOOK Plus I just bought the new set of tires on the other car and wanted to use them without taking them off the wheels. Just to add to the discussion, I also have 4 Ronal four-spoke rims that I am considering after I clean them up. They are just like the wheels on this blue Touring at FestWest last year. That is probably what I will end up with. One good thing about this group....If you ask for an opinion...you will get lots of good ones... thanks
  9. It is beautiful, Bill. I think they are even more distinctive than a Turbo. A day doesn't go by without some complete stranger stopping and commenting about the touring. Some guy today screeched to a stop and backed up half a block just to get a better look and chat. It is great to see it on the road, you can be very proud of the wonderful work all of you performed on it. Now, it will start paying you back in driving joy. My "Driving Joy"....
  10. Switched the wheels and tires from my 2002 to my touring. (100+ wheels and 185/70/13 Bridgestones) Touring used to have stock wheels 5" front and 5 1/2" rear with 165/13 tires. Nice difference...what do you think? Improved stance. Before... After... another before... after...
  11. I can scan it and create a PDF file if you like.. I will try to find time this weekend..will that work for you?
  12. Did you reverse that picture, right to left?? or is the "Ultimate 2002 Calendar" picture reversed?? Just little details that make me crazy... Pretty car, good luck on the sale..
  13. Fender Guitar.....meet Ronnie Wood, Rolling Stone, Rocker. Very sorry, I just couldn't resist. Seriously, what fender and rocker are you looking for. Front? Back?
  14. Since this seems to be a growing club, here is a Sig or Avatar for all of you...... ********************...
  15. Thanks for the offer, and the compliment. This cars runs so smooth, I could probably drive it back to Pa. No 5-speed, might get a little tedious.
  16. Windows still the same height, stick up about 1/2 in when all the way down. The roof is flatter on the Touring.
  17. Have to convince my wife I can't "break up the set" . Hmmm...now if I cleared out all that crap in the 3rd car side of the garage...maybe
  18. No...I passed him...he was driving too slow in that white Bronco. You can still see him crawling by in the pictures.
  19. Side by Side comparison of my new (74 1802 Touring) and old (76 2002) Euro Bumpers,Headlights, turn indicators, no reflectors, original tires and wheels 165/13 5J front Steeper windshield angle, lower roofline, different windwings. Obvious Roofline difference with hatchback, shorter overall length Round tail lights (larger than other "roundies") Euro Bumpers, original tires and wheels 165/13 5 1/2J rear Exhaust out the left side. different gas tank. Raises the already high 02 coolness factor to new heights. Three people today, stopped me and said they had never seen one of these (touring) before...quite fun
  20. Here are some poor quality cell phone pics of both cars (Jon's new Tii, and the 1802) Jon took some better pics.
  21. Will be going up to San Luis Obispo for FestWest. Expecting Rob to give us a date pretty soon. When is the LA get together again??
  22. Yeah, I think he misses it already. If the 72 Inka tii touring hadn't spirited him away, he would still have it. He drove the 1802 up to Port Hueneme to pick up the Tii. I went down there and picked up the 1802 from him. It is a beautiful car, really raises the 02 "coolness" factor.
  23. Details later, here are some pics...1974 Inka 1802 Touring, Beautiful..
  24. hans_stuck was getting bored a couple of days ago and dug it out of the past. I guess we should look at the dates..I thought it was Deja vu.. Glad John is still around.. NOW, IF NO ONE ELSE POSTS ANYTHING, IT WILL SINK INTO THE SUNSET AGAIN!!!
