    Ditto......forgot I had a emergency brake. Low gear or reverse still can't hold it back on a very steep hill. of course the car parked ahead of you can stop you from rolling, but it will take it's toll on the grille....

    Got mine at Costco years ago. Fits "Squarie" well, though not custom. It is a Wolf 300 series, Size Medium. very inexpensive. Happy with it. It is usually on the car during the day at work. It has been on the car at night outside, when I couldn't garage the car. Good luck,

    Isn't it amazing that with 2000 cars, over 800 of them E36 or E46, the majority of the pics in the coverage are "Classics/older models", and many of them '02s !! We are definitely appreciated at Bimmerfest. We went from maybe a dozen '02s in 2005 to 30+ in 2006. Wait til next year.

    I was horrified when I saw that! Scantily clad women at BMW events?!? If they did that at the Palo Alto show I'd have to leave the kids at home. (And maybe spend the night down there after the show, too!) Then there were these two "scary skanks". Darn, she touched the car....now I have to wash it again... My apologies, if anyone is related to these young ladies..

    I am on my second set of Bridgestone Potenza RE910 185/70R/13 on Octavio 100+ wheels. Daily driver, No racing or Autox. Been very happy. Just a little over $55 per wheel out the door price.

    There were at least a dozen of us traveling from Los Gatos to Palo Alto. Turbos, Tourings, M2s, old and new 02s. We just "swarmed" around the other traffic like angry bees. I have never had anyone who used to own a 02 say "I am sure glad I got rid of it". It is usually, "wish I still had it".

    mega-Ouch!! I hope it is repairable, looks like a beautiful car. Of course he is in worse trouble.....because "You can't fix Stupid", and he is doomed.

    Glad you put "no damage" in your subject line. Avoided my heart attack....Alway painful when someone's beloved 02 gets hit. Great seeing you last weekend at Michaels..

    I have those on mine, John. The dealer put them on when I bought it new in 76. That is close to "original". I blacked out the centers, and removed some of the paint in the inner rim, though.

    great picture. If I had known you were taking it, I would have walked over into every picture. A couple guys got into two of them. Fortunately the cars wouldn't move. Really gives a good feel of the event. For those who were not there, all the 02s were arranged in concentric semicircles. With the Turbos, Tourings and coupes lined up on the sides. I hope they got a shot of it from a lift of some sort. would be a really cool picture.

    You certainly can't do this on a puny "roundie" or Euro bumper. Eat your heart out "roundies". While we enjoy our nice picnic benches.

    I don't know any details, but I was blown away by it. I walked up to it from behind and thought "what a nice clean 1600 cabrio" Then I looked closer and saw the interior and under the hood. WOW!!
