  1. Anyone know the size/part number of the highlighted body plugs pictured below? I replaced the trunk floor in my 2002 and it's at the body shop an hour away for paint and I'm trying to track down the correct parts. Looks like it might be #10 and #11 below. Is the metal plug in the center NLA? 10 BLIND PLUG D=35MM 41121907234 11 BLIND PLUG D=20MM 41121907233 Example Pic: Trunk Floor before installation:
  2. I'd just find better lenses...doubt you'd be happy with the finished product. Post an ad in the WTB section.
  3. Awww Sweet Action man....I love old Internationals! I'd like to see more pics of THAT!! I have a 1991 Dodge D250, 360 V8 Gas, AT w/ HD Suspension and 8510# GVW package. (former government owned/spec truck) With overdrive off it pulls like a champ and averages about 8MPG puling this borrowed 20ft steel trailer. Uhaul.com has a feature that allows you to verify your vehicle and hitch type against their rental trailer options.
  4. Depending on your location, (USA, Europe, ETC) paying for freight on a large metal panel makes the deal cost prohibitive in most instances. If a buyer can order a part from a local dealer or specialist and avoid shipping charges and get a guarantee/and or inspect the part before final purchase, this would probably make more sense (if the ultimate cost was about the same.) If you have a local buyer, I would assume you could get 75%+ of retail value. If items must be shipped, the buyer will want to pay about 50% of retail value to offset the cost of freight. Cost savings of no tax/VAT on a private sale should also be considered when negotiating a deal. Good luck and welcome to the FAQ. Please post your parts/prices and detailed photographs in the for sale forum when ready to sell. Ben
  5. Details: * "15% off nearly everything" means most, but not all items we carry. We had to exclude some items we purchase from other vendors where profit margins are too slim to reduce our price. Note: Discounts do not apply to core charges (due to coding limitations the shopping cart will also discount the core charge - we will adjust core charges manually and revise the total amount).
  6. IE's Black Friday discount code = 15disc Sale valid from Thursday, November 24th - Sunday, November 27th, 2011 (midnight, PST).
  7. Don't worry. I have a set in my 1600 and really like them. I did several emails a few months ago to get help modifying the brake array to remove the dual parking light feature. In my opinion, they work sooooo good at night it looks like you are riding the brakes-- they are just the tails, but distracted drivers might get dazzled by their beauty and zone out, and not realize when you are really breaking. Btw, they don't recommend this mod, but I can explain how to do it via email (100% reversible) Ben
  8. Oh come on trashman, you don't even like 13" wheels! Some people collect stamps, I collect car shoes.
  9. I find it hard to believe that all 6 could be bent, but who knows. The way steels are made there is a spot that is welded that might not be perfect--but--visually bent? I'd try a new shop, tell them tires are new but you are having balance problems that tire store #1 can't fix. Hopefully they will be intrigued enough to check the balance for you. Don't mention the bends and see if tire store #2 has the same diagnosis. Fixing 4 wheels will not be financially rewarding, easier to buy something else. Since you asked, I have a set of 13" steel Opel kadet rallye wheels and a set of 13" western wheel alloys that I'd be willing to sell. Both sets have been examined by a wheelsmith and are straight and true. Inquire via email button above. --Ben
  10. I had the same problem on my SoCal to midwest trasnplant 68. The 32/36 water choke wasn't even hooked up...(no block provision) so I converted it to a manual with a kit. I ended up using the $7.99 choke cable kit from the autoparts store and it doesn't hardly look nice enough for my lawntractor, but it works.
  11. don't forget the drive shaft with correct trans to shaft bolt arrangement. Oh, and a short neck rear diff to use with the later subframe. Best to have a complete parts car for this, I would imagine. Ben
  12. I just had mine glass blasted, along with a second hand cannon intake manifold. I've decided to let everything age gracefully and just let it turn colors as the Bavarian gods intended.
  13. Ben, I think there is more where that came from.. up in the attic next to the stainless trim. Oh that would be awesome....I could hire someone to make me a jacket with the leftovers. I also need some headrest and other seat parts. I emailed you. Ben
  14. I purchased a set from the dealer and they subbed in a new style that is much taller...I'm using them for now, but they look a little goofy. If someone figures out a part number for something better, please post here!
  15. Also, for one off, no account required pics, try using this: http://tinypic.com/ Ditch uploading to the FAQ--its all about the hyperlinking!
  16. What is your VIN? I have 1661250, May 68 Production, Chamonix White. How about some pics? Cool and Welcome.
  17. I'm not an expert on the 318ti, but I had an early E36 318is and it had leatherette/vinyl seats. I've found from the E36 cars I've seen that this material holds up much better than the leather, but it does split. My opinion, hope they are leatherette, clean them well and treat them with vinylx - If I'm wrong and they are leather with cloth inserts, take the advice above.
