  1. Greetings, any chance you would be interested in selling the front bumperettes? Please let me know via email mobiletradition | g - m - a - i - l Thanks!
  2. Hi Ray, yep, those are the ones I'm after. I sent Aashish an email via FAQmail with an inquiry. I like the square tops with round sides as I think they are subtle and don't disrupt the lines on the grille. But, maybe I'm just crazy. Thanks for the tip! Ben
  3. thanks, looks like these are for under bumper mounting? I'm not a huge fan of dinnerplate size foglights, but the Lucas units seem "right" to me on a roundie. thanks!
  4. Looking for a set of Lucas Square Foglamps like these:
  5. Sorry Texas guys & gals, this was not started as a "what's wrong with Texas" post, I'm sure there are an equal number of crooks in Rhode Island (my apologies RI fans) - I just wanted to send up a flare on the possible issues with this car as we do attract a good deal of lurkers who may not be comfortable posting a "waddya-think?" question in fear that it will drive up interest in the auction. If anyone is considering this car.....there are turds out there for this money with much better polish. -=B
  6. The other thing that is to matching up is the VIN. Unless someone added the reflectors, I'd say this is a 69 or 70. Potential Buyers Beware!
  7. Must see to Appreciate a fully Restored Classic that may be considered Antique. Come check it out for yourself. This vehicle has been well maintained. This vehicle is immaculate. The interior is very super clean. This vehicle runs and drives great. Take it for a test drive. Performance tires were placed on that vehicle. Carfax certifies that this vehicles had only one owner. You could be the lucky next owner. The previous owner made sure that no one ever smoke in that vehicle. Carfax certifies that this vehicle has never been in an accident. The tires were just replaced. They are new tires. If you must check out one vehicle, this is the one. This is a MUST SEE vehicle. This car has low mileage. Amazing car. It looks great. It runs great. This vehicle was always garaged. Garaged Vehicles are in better condition than similar vehicles that were parked on the street. The previous owner had custom wheels installed on that vehicle. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-2002-1968-BMW-2002-/160656351683?
  8. i bet i could reproduce those....what are they worth I think this would be a neat item to reproduce, with the fuel filler neck, there isn't a ton of room I suspect. I'd like someone to build a plastic box that goes between the wheel wells, like the factory accessory part that is quite rare.
  9. This listing (230672788680) has been removed, or this item is not available. Very Strange...
  10. at least two 02s are coming up from Indianapolis. Screw the rain, the beer still tastes the same. Hope to see you there, Ben
  11. these clocks can be a real pain...you can add power to the backside and see if they tick and electrowind. Calibrating the time is super frustrating. very small adjustment screw on the backside...I bench tested mine for weeks, making small adjustments, after install it runs fast. Converting to quartz is over $200 now. Ben
  12. Also noticed an anomaly with your steering wheel placement.
  13. Howdy. I think your car looks low in the back. You might try the three dot rear pads and see if it helps. Some will say to cut front coils, but you really need to ask yourself how low do you really want to go for your intended use. When selecting a new spring/strut/shock combo for my 68 resto, I was concerned about this issue and ended up going with IE Stage I springs and HDs. I have two dot rear pads and left everything otherwise stock. I don't have any good side shots, plus the car is stripped but it did feel awesome with this setup before I tore it down.
  14. I know catch cans are a popular addition, but no, I see no dripping of anykind, my hose routes down the firewall and sits near the downpipe. I think the theory is that cold air burns better, so why would you want to pump in extremely hot oily vapors?
  15. I suspect it is pointing at the ground, just like mine....no smog checks or ANYTHING in these parts of the country. This is recommended in the BMW restoration guide. Do I feel bad about it? Not really...there are enough Dodge Ram Diesels with open stack exhausts belching black smoke into the air....my warm oil vapors won't kill too many mosquitoes.
  16. 05 Chrysler 300 vs 68 2002, stopped at freeway ramp exit redlight. OCT 2008 SEPT 2011
  17. I discovered a charging issue on my 1600 and decided to try a new voltage regulator before replacing the alternator. My old regulator was putting out just over 12 volts and after cleaning the terminals, it was closer to 12.8. I asked my local dealer to order me in a new one [12 32 1 350 052] and when I opened the box I was surprised to see a little plastic Hella unit instead of a beefy metal Bosch. (Hella P# 5dr-004-243-04) Long story short, aside from looking completely out of place, the battery is now getting just over 14 volts. Anyone else use this new regulator with success?
  18. I'll be sleeping at the HamptonInn, in the nearby village of Lincolnshire. Any breakfast ideas? -Ben
  19. Hello, I have a pair of "green tint" front vent windows that were pulled from a 72 in 1990. If this is what you need, please send me a note via email at mobiletradition a t - G - m A - I - L ---- And I can take and send pictures.
  20. I have and like the kingsborne set in Black but you need to call them direct if you want them inserted into a plastic loom. Also let them know if you have a short or long coil wire (depending on your year/mounting location) I did need to send my first set back as one of the wires was made too short, they fixed the problem but I still had to pay to ship them back. I suspect that the IE wires are also made by this outfit, but I can't guarantee it. Ben
  21. Yikes---looks like it sold on a $600 "buy it now". Hopefully it went to a FAQer!
  22. Not Mine, etc...were was this deal when I needed one? I paid $1,100 for a quarter panel in 2009! This is a deal if you need it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-2002-series-OEM-rt-rear-quarter-panel-rear-deck-air-dam-5-BMW-wheels-snow-/150663119625
  23. I need to replace the driver's side window regulator in my 1600 and was wondering if anyone had luck with the unit from AutohausAZ or BavAuto (BMW branded?) Anyone know what item arrives when you order 51 32 1 801 135 from a dealer? They are all about the same price, I'm just looking for the best option. Thanks! AutohausAZ part looks to have the roller attached: BavAuto part comes without roller? Picture of a "NOS" item from a completed eBay listing:
  24. the stamp says LEMMERZ and I'd take it off your hands if we were closer!
