  1. I emailed you a question to the address on file with your paypal account, please let me know if you didn't get it. Just wanted to confirm your address and name before shipping. Thank you, Ben
  2. These are still available new for about $5 at the dealer (they don't say Hella anymore) To install, pop it in place, light the back tabs with a lighter, when they sizzle and catch fire, smash them with the flat side of a regular screwdriver and, as they say in the industry "Bobs yer uncle" PN = 51 13 5 480 107
  3. $35 Shipped - Paypal to mobiletradition | G M A I L ---- The FLASH picks up everything, the part is used but looks as new and shiny black to the naked eye FILLER PIPE #14 -- 16 11 1 105 714
  4. Just a personal preference - I think the roundies are better suited for simple designs and the squares need something more substantial to balance out the extra trim and bumpers. The 100+ wheels just "look" right to me on a later car. Wheel beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder.
  5. These are the best looking wheels available for a 74-76 02 IMHO. GLWTS! -=Ben
  6. Excellent idea - Too bad it is NLA and not easy to find in the USofA. UK or German Ebay is about our only choice.
  7. I tried to buy one out of the UK last year but it was several hundred dollars plus the shipping was over $100 due to size....I'd love for someone to reproduce a box just like this.
  8. I'm just a chump so don't take my word for it, but for some reason I think the intake and exhaust ports on a 1600 head are not the same as a 2002. So, swapping a later two barrel intake manifold may require port matching. I could be wrong, so others please chime in. I like the idea of the ti conversion if you have access to all the fussy bits. -=Ben
  9. celk06, it is hard to tell from the photo but it looks like the manifold was tapped for emissions plumbing at one point, the tii manifolds I've seen before don't have this (maybe the 74s did?) Do you have any other info or pictures from when you bought it? This is a pic of one I had last year and wish I had it back! thanks, -=Ben
  10. [[[sOLD - THANKS CARLOS]]] Make offer and you pay shipping. email = mobiletradition | g m a i l
  11. Fichtel & Sachs AG, Clutch Cover/Pressure Plate; 215mm Diameter $25 - Plus Shipping ($10.95 USPS Flat Rate Box) Paypal OK 08/1973 to 07/1976 or 320i BMW PN: 21 21 1 225 865
  12. I'm wondering if the H & R and the Ireland Stage I are the exact same spring and the Suspension Techniques and the Korman Roadsport and the same? Anyone care to chime in? The "house brands" have gotta be made by someone, somewhere.
  13. I have a good one I would be willing to sell, I need to get it out of storage and take pictures, send me a note or reply here if you'd like to learn more, etc. email -> mobiletradition | g m a i l -=Ben
  14. Thanks all, I'm open to offers if anyone wants to take this off my hands and braze away. mobiletradition | g m AiL
  15. Bavauto.com has them for $77.95 each, no tax and free shipping.
  16. Bonehead move, I was removing a rogue head stud and bolt from this tii manifold with my BFH and I broke off the mounting flange. Is this worth fixing? I had a good restored one, didn't need it, sold it, needed one again, bought it, shipped it and quickly broke it...isn't this how life goes sometimes?
  17. Cool car AL. I had the same M42 in a 92 318is (E36) - I'm sure it has been replaced already, but keep an eye on the profile gasket. http://www.unofficialbmw.com/all/engine/all_m42_profile_gasket_faq.html One of my goals in life is to buy a 91 318i 4 door with plastic hubcaps and cloth interior and no sunroof. Probably the last of the great, simple, affordable BMWs, unless you count Mini, and I don't. -=Ben
  18. I'm looking for at least two 6" x 13" or one 5.5" x 13" to complete partial sets. Condition not important, with the exception of cracks or severe bends. Please let me know what you have lurking in the attic. mobiletradition A T GM A IL
  19. Interestingly, my 2006 wagon was one of the last 5ers that came with non run flat tires and no TPMS inside the wheel. So I get of lucky with a $150 goodyear. The Idrive is not intelligent and doesn't really know what tires I have. My MIL has a 2009 E60 with sport package and the replacement cost of a single Dunlop RFT is $398.
  20. Headed Home from the Hoosier Chapter BMW CCA Meeting tonight and Kablamo--I almost drove my 1600 for the first time since November...glad I kept it in the garage. IDRIVE--YOU THINK?
  21. This cool AM Blau Vienna is available now in the FS forum:
  22. This is the unit I purchased for my Becker Europa and it works as advertised. I tried looking at Radio Shack and Fry's Electronics and it was a complicated maze of little parts. I found din plugs for old keyboards or microphones, but nothing for old German audio equipment. A savy FAQer could certainly build one, if they were able to locate the parts. There is not much to this, but it does work flawlessly. Thank you Blaupunkt for having the foresight in the 1960s to think we might someday have portable record players that we carry on our phones.
  23. I have some Blaupunkts in the stash and wanted to post them to show a few of the early chrome faceplates that were available. I suspect that the black faceplates became en-vogue in the early 70s and some were simply old stock chrome ones that got painted either at the factory or by our forefathers.
