Do a quick FAQ search on M3 starter. The hot setup seems to be the one used on the big 6 (E28 535is for example) as it has 1.7 jigglywatts of power and mucho torque. I got one from an ebay seller in CA. New unit of unknown origins but it was about $85 with shipping and no core charge. so far it is an impressive paper weight, but others have installed with success.

And to think people were concerned about Indianapolis weather in 2012. At least everything here is connected by walkovers and tunnels and the stadium is downtown!
I have a rear window in green with no rear defroster wires, very nice used shape from a 72. Shipping is a little tricky cross country, but I'm willing if you are. mobiletradition A t GM a i l

Its 99.9% back together, I just need that tii manifold!
Truthfully, I'm still in the planning phase. Avon, IN Pat has a lead for me on the folks who painted his amazing tii, I need to get an estimate for everything. I'm going to ditch the KYBs install HDs and keep the stock springs or go Stage 1 if I can find some. The new/used transplant engine and good 4 speed from Larry W's 75 are ready to go in. I also have a new clutch kit. I'm still in parts collecting mode. Want to have an engine swap party this summer?

Plan your route, and local breakdown shops along the way, check everything once, take some spares, fluids and a tool kit, take your wife's credit card, gas it and go. PS, don't forget the JB Weld!
I think I know what post he is talking about...I remember one of our Grand Poobahs suggesting this a few years ago. I'll dig.

The Festmeister Scott Sturdy normally has items available in his ebay store before the event and some overruns if any left, or you could just ditch the other event and come up to Winston-Salem and party like its 1972 all over again!

I'm looking for at least two 6" x 13" or one 5.5" x 13" to complete partial sets. Condition not important, with the exception of cracks or severe bends. Please let me know what you have lurking in the attic.
I found a NOS one a few years ago but the darn thing is so bright against the valvecover, I only used it for a few days. Let me know if you can't live without it.
