  1. I'm a computer geek so ordered one for my '74...
  2. I added a new steering wheel into the rotation. Took off the 1976 stock wheel i've been running on my '74 and added the new Momo Prototipo 37cm. It'll get rotated out for one of the other wheels in the rotation eventually, but that's the fun... I like the 370mm diameter for the big guy like me.. 370mm is minimum size for me... Took a drive.. forgot how much I like the fat grip on the Momo...
  3. This is probably old hat, but MVP now makes reproduction wiper arms for our 2002 cars. They come in three flavors (chrome, silver, black). My first impressions are that the quality looks really good. I haven't installed one yet, so the jury's still out. I'm leaning toward the silver for my '73 US car. We'll see.. CHROME SILVER BLACK
  4. The only thing I'm not so keen on with Aluminum is Cold in the winter, Hot when car is left in the sun.
  5. Walloth & Nesch sells the CR 5-speed knob too. https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/manual-transmission/bmw-1502-2002-turbo/catalog-picture-23-15.html
  6. You're thinking exactly like me. Same. I just ordered a 370mm. Glad they finally starting making them bigger than 350.
  7. That would Petrify me... Maybe that's a good idea 😊 Better than CD's pool I guess...
  8. The funny thing is that whenever I had a knob with a roundel on it, I was constantly fiddling with it to align the roundel squarely or something... I like the profile and the grippy-ness of the rubber new one. The old one is like hard plastic now. Petrified. I will preserve that fossil..
  9. In my years of BMW ownership I've probably had every type of shift knob known to mankind, but I've always come back to the original black rubber shift knob. I saw that Walloth & Nesch now makes a reproduction so I ordered a couple. I like it a lot. It's similar to my old knob but with a texture on top and more flexible new rubber. It feels great to me. Thought I'd share... W&N on left, original on right..
  10. The originality police should take notice of this. "1/2 a point off because your car has the wrong reflectors". Me, do I care? Hell No 😆
  11. Same thing if you order new yellow lenses for the front. You'll get the little rectangle on the lens. Originals didn't have that. At least on my '73 they didn't...
  12. Just an FYI, you can still buy the complete new rear reflectors from BMW with the base, gasket and lens. But, they now come with the same lenses as the illuminated side ones. The original rear reflectors on my '73 have the lens without the small rectangle for the light. The part numbers are 63 14 1 353 055 for the right rear. 63 14 1 353 056 for the left rear.
  13. Beautiful work. Just curious, what size of Momo Prototipo did you use? 320mm, 350mm or 370mm?
  14. My '74 is 2781840 so she must have turned 50 without me taking notice. I know I have my information from Andreas Harz somewhere, but like most things I put it in a very safe place and therefore will never be able to find it again. I'll crack a beer to celebrate now ☺️
  15. That car is known locally round here as DRSUAVE according to it's rear license plate. I've always loved that car,,, Doctor Suave 😊
  16. I forgot to take a pic of the engine bay on that car. It has an S14 engine with a super charger. It's wild... I think the owner Alex said that it's probably over 300 hp or something crazy like that but he hasn't dyno'd it yet.
