Yes, I used one of the stencils from Mo to paint that "S" on my diff. I found the stencils to not be the easiest to use. I bought two of them. I completely botched the first one, only partially botched the second one. I ended up sort of freehanding the second one using a small brush to make it look acceptable (as shown in the pics). Turned out OK. I wish they were a decal, that would be much easier to apply.

sealed her up... And added an "S"
E21 3.64 Diff with late e36 pumpkin LSD transplant.
Thanks @RussTii

Triangle id tag on the K-Pump mysteriously missing? 😞

I've got a couple of these reproduction stock clamps from W&N. Just thought those (I guess original E21 wire holders) were very nice.
Good to know that they're original BMW parts and therefore unobtainable. I've been searching for something like that for years. 😆 Most/all of the new fangled ones I've found online just aren't for me.

The closest to what I have (black) can be found online at Mr. Gasket or others.
Mr. Gasket. Never heard of it. I'll take a look and see what I can find. Thanks

Make sure that you add a washer under the riser or else it tends to leak oil. I haven't added the washer yet on mine and it's leaked for a long time. I'm going to add the washers (and DIRKO DAB) pronto. Great tip. This was mentioned in that other thread.
"The clamps fit very nicely around the Kingsborne loom tube, but the standoff bolt leaked some oil, doesn't seem to seal as well as the cap nuts. Needed to add washer under the standoff (see photo)."
A LITTLE DAB OF DIRKO on the cleaned stud will also help with any leakage.

I ended up just cleaning up my original dented gas tank, repainting it and then reinstalling it instead of trying to make the W&N tank fit. I still have that W&N tank sitting in a huge box in my garage. PM me, we might be able to work out a "budget" deal for it.
I just hate dealing with shipping stuff... Big box

I had similar problems with the fit of the filling hose pipe with the 51L W&N tii tank in my 1974tii. It bolts in no problem. I also had a little issue with my stock tii exhaust rubbing against it too.
It looks like someone has an original tank from BMW in the classified section. Not sure if it's the right part, but you might want to check it out...

Someone spent some serious money on parts ... silver dollar cluster
One of the things I really like on a '72- 73tii is the original blacked out cluster from that model year. No silver dollars for me...

I couldn’t find the UTQ specs for these Pirelli’s (I have a set on my 2002).
Three ratings: traction, treadwear and temperature
+1. I'd also like to know those UTQ specs for the CN36. It's kind of weird that it isn't molded into the sidewall of the tire like most other tires and isn't published anywhere that I could find.

I was going by that Alpina build sheet above which lists 5 Alpina alloy wheels 5 1/2 x 13". Then the tires and tubes. I just thought it was odd that they listed tubes.
-
I wonder why Alpina also specified tubes to go with the tyres? Do the Alpina wheels require tubes?

You mean the guy locked in the trunk banging with a hammer whenever car took off from the light?
You know, that's exactly what it sounded like. Couldn't figure it out man... It's all hazy now... It was expensive man...
Now I have a jack and look at that rubber thing...

I mean who in gods name would take off those 13" wheels and change to those 15 inchers. It's a CraigsList ad == Make Low Ball Offer. 😄

I've purchased some parts from the seller off ebay and have been happy with the transactions. Looks like a nice car. No under hood shots though... I should have taken the local pickup option to be able to drive out to Pebble, but couldn't manage it.
He's advertising it as a '69. It looks like he had a tii conversion in mind and then changed to dual carbs instead. I know he was selling a complete early plastic runners tii setup on ebay, but that's gone.
The original '69 wheels from the car?

I have a couple of original E21 LSD and it appears like the factory used a rubber stamp to apply the "S". Here's a picture from one of mine. I added the "S" on that e36 transplant just so some dumbass (like myself) doesn't fill it with the wrong fluid in the future ☺️
