  1. the NGK plug that closely matches the heat range of the old Bosch W8DC is the NGK BP6ES. If you want the next hotter NGK plug, that would be the BP5ES. The lower numbered NGK plugs have a higher heat range. It's the opposite with Bosch plugs. WR7DC is cooler than WR8DC. The 'R' in the WRxDC means it has a built in resistor. W8DC didn't have a built in resistor. The BP6ES also doesn't have a built in resistor.
  2. My 3.0 csi has city lights. They're wired so they turn on when you pull out the headlight switch to the 1st notch like you do for running lights since the euro turn signals only have a single filliment bulb and no running light. They're also wired so that if you turn the turn signal switch to the right or left when the car is turned OFF, the city lights light up on that side of the car.
  3. Take a look at some of the other cool items that the seller has listed. All kinds of rare and cool stuff.
  4. That was supposed to be a Joke. I've used the Ate blue and the Ate Typ 200 (gold) for years...
  5. I guess this is one argument for not using Ate Super Blue brake fluid like c.d. suggested in another thread. The blue would make it harder to see the black...
  6. I would just be patient and order the correct bolt from JayMic. I've been surprised at how fast items arrive from JayMic in the UK to California when I've placed orders with them. I've ordered items from their online site and had them arrive within a week without paying extra for any extra-fast shipping method. John
  7. They used to have them, but NLA. They have them in 185/70 13 though.
  8. You can get Toyo or Federal Formoza in 205/60 13 at: OnlineTires.com
  9. If Max doesn't have that "pin bolt" available, I believe that JayMic in the UK does. Good luck, John www.jaymic.com
  10. I sent you an e-mail about some custom ones that I have. They are new custom ones purchased from Aardvarc Racing and never installed. Thanks, John
  11. I know someone who might be interested. Contact information? You can e-mail me through the e-mail button next to my name. Thanks, John
  12. The wheels on Michael's ex-car have got to be some of the prettiest wheels ever made for an '02...
  13. If you're in Hermosa Beach area, this might be of interest. There's two of them on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vasek-Polak-Hermosa-Beach-BMW-Porsche-License-plate-frame-/120791766625?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item1c1fc01661 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vasek-Polak-Hermosa-Beach-BMW-Porsche-License-plate-frame-/120791761084?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item1c1fc000bc Good luck, John
  14. You can get it here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/euro/catalog/shopcart/B136/POR_B136_BRKhyd_pg3.htm#item17 I'm still curious why c.d. doesn't like the super blue. I switched to using the Ate gold (type 200) because I installed a new fluid resevour and didn't want it to get stained by the blue, but had previously used the blue for years.
  15. I've got this plate coming from Germany for my '73: Originally from Baden Baden
  16. e-mail sent regarding radio and speaker. Thanks, John
  17. See if your local glass shop can get you a Pilkington brand glass for your car. They are the OEM that supplies the 2002 windshields for BMW now. Often you can get the Pilkington glass a lot cheaper through a glass shop than paying the BMW prices. The only difference is that the non-BMW branded windshield won't have the BMW logo on the glass. Oh, and if you're replacing the windshield seal, go with an original BMW seal. The aftermarket seals don't fit very well. It's worth the extra bucks to buy the real deal BMW seal. Good luck, John
  18. 185/70 13's will fit your rims and tire rack has a few tires available in that size.
  19. e-mail sent on the Inka tii. Thanks, John
  20. I ran into this VW Type 3 group on Friday 09-30-11. http://s1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb444/jsieraski/VW%20Type%203/
  21. Sorry to hear this. The name sounded familiar. I just now realized that the donor heater box that I'm rebuilding came from Mark. Ride in Peace Mark
  22. The tilt mechanism and their plastic covers on those seats looks just like the ones on a set of Scheel seats that I have. On one of the sets of Scheels that I have, there were some paper tags under the seat bottom where the straps are that identified them as Scheel seats and gave a model number. Those are some nice looking seats, John
  23. Is the car secured so that people can't go up to it and f**ck with it / touch it? I'd be afraid of loosing my wiper arms or "super rare" flag mirrors. ;-)
