  1. I'll bet Armond would trade you for a Momo hub. You're probably joking, but I do have a spare Momo hub for a 2002...Armond?
  2. I could really USE those tires. I have those same tires on one of my cars and I damaged the spare. If Armond flakes, I'd BUY them from you. Thanks, John
  3. You might own a 2002, if... You have fond memories of Russian cars.
  4. During that 5 year period, that car was baking in the sun daily, so that might account for the premature cracking. But the German vinyl in the later style seats covers is definitely far superior because those seats are in my '74 daily driver which is always driven and never garaged. Wait, I just noticed that you've got the later style seats (hopefully still in German vinyl), so they should last a long time like mine have.
  5. EDIT: Looks like someone beat me to the Nardi bits. Drats!!!
  6. About 5 years. The passenger side is still fine because I hardly ever have any passengers. I'm about to replace again with the same stuff from World that I scored from a guy on ebay for cheap.
  7. This one is up for sale at the RM Auction in Monterey August 19-20: Formerly owned by famed "Bond Girl" Ursula Andress who retained ownership well into the 1980s. http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm?SaleCode=MO11&CarID=r245&fc=0# Or this Bad Boy: http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm?SaleCode=MO11&CarID=r267&fc=0
  8. Ya, only the later (74-76) covers from World are in the German Vinyl. The earlier covers are in the Domestic. I recovered the seats in my '74 back in the early 90's with the German Vinyl covers and they still look almost new today. I used their Domestic Vinyl covers on my '73. Big difference in how they hold up over time. I'm about to cover the Domestic seats from the '73 again for the third time. I guess you get what you pay for. I would add that Esty makes excellent carpet and mats if you're looking for interior redo.
  9. My car has a similar paint job. One thing I did do was detatch all of the trim, clean it up and then re-attach using the stainless t-bolts from FAQ'r RIMSPOKE. At least those won't rust John
  10. My 3.0 csi came from the factory with an electric fan and has the switch screwed into a bung in the lower radiator outlet.
  11. Yes, I have Scheels in two of my cars and love them. But I was talking about the size of the headrest on that one...
  12. Is it just me, or did that Scheel seat have an extremely large headrest?
  13. None of the radios that I own have an external power supply/amp. The speaker plugs on all of mine plug directly into the backs of the radios. With my ipod connectors, I can only listen to AM/FM when there isn't a mini-cable plugged into the little box at the end of the cable. If I unplug the mini-cable then the radio plays. Here's what I have: Becker Europa II Stereo (US Model - Supports 2 speakers) Becker Europa Mono (Euro Model) Blaupunkt Frankfurt Stereo (US Model - Supports 4 speakers) Blaupunkt Karlsruhe Mono (Euro Model) I know that on at least one of my radios (can't remember which), the body of the radio needs to be grounded or it doesn't light up and play.
  14. I have the F Bomb's twin, but in the Sponge-Bob Square-Tail model. Love seeing these pics, John
  15. I just edited my original reply. I think the common ground is the middle hole. Judging by the looks of the bottom hole, it hasn't been used much, so probably the previous owner only had a single speaker wired. That's the amp, right? What does the radio look like? I'm an old radio junky. Here's what the Blaupunkt plugs look like (from Koenigs Klassik-Radios): I've bought radios and speakers from Koenigs. It took time to arrive from Germany, but there stuff is top notch. Two of my radios are the Euro LMKU type. I've only been able to get reception on the AM and FM bands. And the FM dial stops at around 104 or so. Mainly use the ipod connector or listen to the sweet sound of the M10 or M30. John
  16. Looks like it's set up to work with either a pair of speakers or a single speaker. If you look at the picture of the speakers near the holes, it shows you how to wire them. It looks like the middle hole is the common ground. If you're using a single speaker, it looks like you use the upper and middle hole. If wiring a pair, you use all three holes. Is there a fader switch for fading between a pair of speakers? Pretty advanced for '67...
  17. Someone in Hawaii was selling most of the fuel injection bits in the For Sale section recently. You might check if that's still available... http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,361140/ John
  18. Do you know the width and offset on those 100+ wheels? Thanks, John
  19. The E3's look like they have good leg room in the back. I know in my coupe that there's almost no leg room in the back. That combined with the 4-doors makes them a lot more functional. I've always like them... and Golf too... Sweet cars
  20. Andy, Just an FYI, I recently transplanted the Scheel seats from your ex-truck (via Esty) into my coupe. They worked out pretty good. My semi-fat butt barely fits. I'm going to work on restoring the original seats just in case. They must have been made for your wife? ;-) Take it easy, John
  21. It was one of the standard ones that I think was made by Bosch. Try part #61-31-1-354-274 or part #61-31-1-351-799 I think there are two different types a course threaded one and a fine threaded one. Not sure which part number is which kind. You should be able to unscrew your old one and tell which kind by looking at the threads.
  22. Look at the ceramic ballast resistor. It should be stamped on it's metal base with either 1,8 Ohms or 0,9 Ohms. Then purchase the matching coil for that resistor. The Bosch red coil for the 1.8 Ohms ballast resistor. The Bosch black one for the 0.9 Ohms ballast resistor. Both the Bosch red and black are really silver these days with a colored label. John
  23. I had the same thing happen on my 73tii a long time ago. The oil leak on the pressure sender progressively got worse until it was like a Volcano bubbling out oil. That's when I figured out where the leak was. I thought I was going to have to rebuild the engine and then it turned out to be a simple and cheap replacement of the oil pressure sender. A stock replacement sender unit is around $6.00. John
  24. Sweet looking car. Love that color. I remember when I bought my 3.0 csi back in the early 90's my mechanic trying to talk me out of buying it saying "the coupe is just a Bavaria with a pretty skin." John
