  1. Triangle id tag on the K-Pump mysteriously missing? 😞
  2. I've got a couple of these reproduction stock clamps from W&N. Just thought those (I guess original E21 wire holders) were very nice. Good to know that they're original BMW parts and therefore unobtainable. I've been searching for something like that for years. 😆 Most/all of the new fangled ones I've found online just aren't for me.
  3. Mr. Gasket. Never heard of it. I'll take a look and see what I can find. Thanks
  4. Make sure that you add a washer under the riser or else it tends to leak oil. I haven't added the washer yet on mine and it's leaked for a long time. I'm going to add the washers (and DIRKO DAB) pronto. Great tip. This was mentioned in that other thread. "The clamps fit very nicely around the Kingsborne loom tube, but the standoff bolt leaked some oil, doesn't seem to seal as well as the cap nuts. Needed to add washer under the standoff (see photo)." A LITTLE DAB OF DIRKO on the cleaned stud will also help with any leakage.
  5. @John76 I like that. Do you have a source for those wire holder things?
  6. dog 😄 dogs and '02 They just go together
  7. I ended up just cleaning up my original dented gas tank, repainting it and then reinstalling it instead of trying to make the W&N tank fit. I still have that W&N tank sitting in a huge box in my garage. PM me, we might be able to work out a "budget" deal for it. I just hate dealing with shipping stuff... Big box John
  8. I had similar problems with the fit of the filling hose pipe with the 51L W&N tii tank in my 1974tii. It bolts in no problem. I also had a little issue with my stock tii exhaust rubbing against it too. It looks like someone has an original tank from BMW in the classified section. Not sure if it's the right part, but you might want to check it out...
  9. One of the things I really like on a '72- 73tii is the original blacked out cluster from that model year. No silver dollars for me...
  10. +1. I'd also like to know those UTQ specs for the CN36. It's kind of weird that it isn't molded into the sidewall of the tire like most other tires and isn't published anywhere that I could find.
  11. I was going by that Alpina build sheet above which lists 5 Alpina alloy wheels 5 1/2 x 13". Then the tires and tubes. I just thought it was odd that they listed tubes.
  12. I wonder why Alpina also specified tubes to go with the tyres? Do the Alpina wheels require tubes?
  13. A little rain ain't gonna stop us. Thanks to all the folks who put this on. Love you guys, John
  14. I can see the headlines now… Studies have shown that recreational use of Marijuana leads to premature guibo failure… 🤣
  15. Might have to break out the big dogs. My car has 15 inch wiper blades on it now.
  16. learning from the school of hard knocks 🤣
  17. You know, that's exactly what it sounded like. Couldn't figure it out man... It's all hazy now... It was expensive man... Now I have a jack and look at that rubber thing...
  18. I hate to admit it, but. "I done that man" 🤑
  19. I mean who in gods name would take off those 13" wheels and change to those 15 inchers. It's a CraigsList ad == Make Low Ball Offer. 😄
  20. I've purchased some parts from the seller off ebay and have been happy with the transactions. Looks like a nice car. No under hood shots though... I should have taken the local pickup option to be able to drive out to Pebble, but couldn't manage it. He's advertising it as a '69. It looks like he had a tii conversion in mind and then changed to dual carbs instead. I know he was selling a complete early plastic runners tii setup on ebay, but that's gone. 21. I love my bug-a-salt 😆Pity Da Fly! Clean and effective, just a blast of salt... Works on spiders too. I normally try to relocate the harmless spiders outside. Black Widows, no mercy... Mosquitos, Flies, YellowJackets, no mercy... Tarantulas are good for the garden as are most spiders. Things that eat mosquitos are my friends, bats, etc. EDIT: Probably not a good idea to shoot a blast of salt into a spider in the body of your 2002. Salt not good in there... 22. I bought some reproduction ones from a guy named Gerrit Blankman in Germany NML-Depot a long time ago. Not sure if he's still around or not.
  23. I remember when I had to remove those safety bolts on an E9 to fix the ignition. It was a PITA. I drilled into them and used an easy-out bit. I replaced them with standard hex head bolts. Lucky for the next owner if they ever have to go in there again. IMO John
  24. MVP does make reproduction wiper arms now. I haven't tried them, just saying... BODY ELECTRIC WWW.MVPVINTAGEPARTS.COM BODY ELECTRIC
