The heater valves on both my 73 and on my 74 had the same plastic shafts and the arms are attached with a little hex head screw (looks like a mini lag screw) and also a little tooth washer.

I've been really pleased with the Nissens brand radiators that I bought from Jaymic in the UK. I have them in both of my tiis. They look just like an OEM 2002 radiator, but are much better quality and have improved cooling ability (made in Denmark). If you order from Jaymic, make sure you ask specifically for the Nissens one. I'm not sure, but maybe Blunt can get you a Nissens brand radiator for the 02. I'd check with Blunt 1st. Good luck,

I ordered a set of the 2002tii special tools from Aric Vander Werff (asvander).

Tools are of excellent quality. Fairly priced and promptly shipped. I was especially happy to finally own one of the 85mm linkage measurement tools. All in all, an excellent transaction. Thanks Aric,

Hello Aric,
I received the tools I ordered from you on Friday. I’m happy to finally own one of the 85mm linkage measurement tools. I got the linkage on my 73tii all synced up over the weekend. Tools worked great. Thanks,

FWIW Esty has always been helpful to me, both on and off line. I guess the perception lies in the eyes of the beholder.
Bob Napier
And she makes a damn fine set of carpets and mats for the 2002... :-)

You can still get them from BMW.

Even though I already owned an original set of BMW shop manuals (binders), I recently purchased a reprint of the OEM 2002 repair shop manuals from Faxon Auto Literature on ebay ($99.00). For me, it's easier to page through than the original binders and was money well spent.

That's a 'Europa II Stereo' not Corona. I have one in my '74

I seem to remember a picture on Peter Sliskovich's website:
Where he shows how he reinforces the diff. mount area on the E9 coupes.

This link explains how to re-key your door lock. I need to do one, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Good luck,

I'm sure that this is all old hat to you guys, but thought I'd add a link to Zenon's FAQ on the subject:

If you're looking for another one of those wheels to complete the set, you might check with Peter (www.coupeking.com).

BP5ES is close to the same heat range as the old Bosch W8DC plugs. BP6ES is close to the same heat range as Bosch W7DC. I use BP5ES in both of my tiis ('73 & '74) and my 3.0 csi. I stay away from the BPRxxx plugs because the R means it's a resistor plug. If you're using the stock wires with the resistor boot plug ends, you don't want the additional resistor in the spark plug too.

The stock 13x5 tii alloys are available from the usual sources.

I can confirm that 1974 tii came with the vapor tank. My stock 1974 tii has one.

Standard 30amp automotive relays should cost you about $5 for Tyco brand (the good ones).
Even the "Bosch" general purpose 12V 30Amp orange relays I recently purchased are made by Tyco. 'Tyco Made in Portugal' is on the side of the relay and there's a faint Bosch label stamped on the top of each one.
Check out this FAQ (Early 12v BMW 2002 High and Low Beam Relay Wiring Directions):

I'd also like to see pics and know the offset if available. Thanks,

Interesting. The picture is the same for a 70 2002 and 73 tii, but "number 6" has two different part numbers:
11141257413 - tii bracket.
12318602032 - non tii bracket
of course, the non-tii bracket is $40, tii bracket is $100ish. Super. Hopefully, someone has one.
Iain
The bracket on my 73tii cracked and I got a new one from Blunt.

Oh and slide the clips off, don't try to pry off.
Good luck.
Don
Great tip Don. I ended up using a small rubber mallet to slide/pound the clips off a box that I rebuilt. Reverse when reassembling the thing. No damage to any of the plastic.
Later model Blue door panels (set) - great condition $150
