    The heater valves on both my 73 and on my 74 had the same plastic shafts and the arms are attached with a little hex head screw (looks like a mini lag screw) and also a little tooth washer. --John

    I've been really pleased with the Nissens brand radiators that I bought from Jaymic in the UK. I have them in both of my tiis. They look just like an OEM 2002 radiator, but are much better quality and have improved cooling ability (made in Denmark). If you order from Jaymic, make sure you ask specifically for the Nissens one. I'm not sure, but maybe Blunt can get you a Nissens brand radiator for the 02. I'd check with Blunt 1st.     You can get the Hella brand fuse kit from AutoHausAZ for $5.41. Each kit contains 1 of 2.5amp glass, 1 of 5amp yellow, 4 of 8amp white, 3 of 16amp red, and 1 of 25amp blue fuses. Part #UN6317300

    Even though I already owned an original set of BMW shop manuals (binders), I recently purchased a reprint of the OEM 2002 repair shop manuals from Faxon Auto Literature on ebay ($99.00). For me, it's easier to page through than the original binders and was money well spent.

    BP5ES is close to the same heat range as the old Bosch W8DC plugs. BP6ES is close to the same heat range as Bosch W7DC. I use BP5ES in both of my tiis ('73 & '74) and my 3.0 csi. I stay away from the BPRxxx plugs because the R means it's a resistor plug. If you're using the stock wires with the resistor boot plug ends, you don't want the additional resistor in the spark plug too. --John

    I can confirm that 1974 tii came with the vapor tank. My stock 1974 tii has one.

    Even the "Bosch" general purpose 12V 30Amp orange relays I recently purchased are made by Tyco. 'Tyco Made in Portugal' is on the side of the relay and there's a faint Bosch label stamped on the top of each one.
