  1. Got mine yesterday. They look perfect. Thanks for all your effort on this.
  2. I bought them for my 74 from Walloth & Nesch. Very good quality. You can find them on their web site.
  3. I am getting the same attacks but my virus software is catching all of them. The problem comes when or if you accidentally click on one of the ads. If you have done that then your computer is infected and it will take someone very knowledgeable to fix your system. If you never have clicked on one of the pop-up ads your ok.
  4. Well this just sucks. Glad Rob made the cut but not happy with his article only being every other month. Just like Mike S. mentioned, we all need to write in. If they want to cut anything get rid of about 80% of the motor sports articles.
  5. I am sure those types of ads are coming from Adware or Botware/Malware on your own system.
  6. This might have already been said but did you check the O-ring on fuel level sender?
  7. Thanks for publishing the list. I am still interested in 2 sets. Please let me know when you have payment info. Thanks. MikeD
  8. Several years ago there was a shop located in Wrightsville, PA (just outside York) that specialized in Porsche and BMW restorations. Not sure if it is still there but they used to do high quality work. Sorry I don't remember the name.
  9. Pull the radio and check the back for the code. Thats were I found mine. The PO put it there. Also there is a radio repair place in Richmond Va that can unlock the radio. I cant remember the name but a search on the net might bring up the name. I will check receipts tonight and see if I can find the name.
  10. I had lost my key for my 74 tii gas cap also. One of the guys on the FAQ helped me out by cutting me a key. If you know the number on the key and if it is the same number as mine I will send you a copy. There were only a few different numbers if you bought the cap in 74. If you don't know the number then you will have to take one of the other suggestions. Mike D
  11. SOLD I am selling my 1976 2002 Automatic. I am the second owner and owned the car for 16 years. I planned to restore it but after restoring my 74 tii I ran out of energy. Let me get this out of the way upfront: This 2002 has RUST. You should inspect the car in person to judge for yourself if there is too much for you. The Good: -only 104,000 miles -Runs and Starts easily -Cold A/C -Interior very nice. Dash board has no cracks. Carpet is fair. Head liner is very good with the exception of one small spot. Door panels are very good. -Chrome/aluminum parts very good. -Paint good. Could use a good waxing -Original radio -new battery -new exhaust -New Weber (will include the original Solex carb) -Everything works The Bad: -Some rust as mentioned above -Tires have flat spots. They are not safe. -All rubber hoses will need to be replaced Mike D
  12. I joined around 1974....great club. BMW CCA member #23777
  13. This might be too simple but My 74tii had the same problem right after installing a new shift boot. It turns out the new "OE" rubber boot was too stiff causing the shifter to pop out of gear only on deceleration. Same symptoms as yours. After removing the rubber boot and installing a new soft "leather like" boot the problem went away. Check your boot before doing anything major.
  14. You can get both sides here: http://www.bmw02.de/Interior-trim.70.0.html?&L=2&print=1&tx_tscahsel_pi1=2&cHash=b4ee1531ef
  15. Understand about it being an automatic. I figured it would be changed over to a 5 speed by whomever buys it
  16. I almost ready to sell my 1976 2002A. It is a solid car. Great interior. Some bondo on the door. I am the second owner and the car has been in dry, climate controlled storage for about 4 years. I restored my 74 tii and was going to start on the 76 but ran out of energy. If this is something you would be interested in let me know. I will get some pictures of it ready in the next few weeks. Mike D
  17. John....Can't see the pictures in your links because you need to have an account.
  18. Thanks for the additional pictures. I didn't know that 74tii's came in any other green but Amazonasgrun.. Max...do you have the info you need or do you need me to still check...i will be happy to.
  19. JGEROCK....Great pictures....that's my car
  20. Both of my 2002's have Behr units.
  21. Steve....the original tires are XAS tubeless. I never had a tube type tire. Both cars came with the XAS tubeless. I know you said you thought they were metal valve stems but maybe you were remembering the metal cap that came with them instead they being all metal. I guess it is possible some of the 2002's those years came with all metal valve stems on the stock steel wheels but mine are as pictured. Regards, Mike
  22. Ok. I figured it out. Here are the pictures. Both my 74 and 76 are identical. As you can see they came with rubber stems with metal caps.
  23. I emailed you the pictures. This is the original valve stem on the original wheel with the original XAS tubeless tire. This came from the trunk of my car and was never used. I am the original owner so I know it is correct. For some reason I couldn't get them to post here. Mike
