  7. Sold! I've held onto this wheel for a long time, but I doubt I'll ever use it. So I'm letting it go. The wheel is 355mm (13 3/4") in size. The grip is thicker than most MOMO wheels measuring at 4 1/4" in circumference. The leather for the most part is nice. Most of the crazing is located at the 1 and 2 o'clock position. Small canyons between spoke leather and wheel grip. The Lauda signature is hanging on for dear life. Stamped "Made in Italy" on the back. There is no date stamp, so this could possibly be an early 70's wheel (MOMO didn't stamp till '77.) Lastly, a sticker was placed on the back. Says PRO-something. Thought it looked cool and added character, so kept it. Overall I think this is a great vintage MOMO wheel in an odd size. Asking $175 OBO shipped. PayPal preferred.
  8. While doing some research on a couple Alpina Momo wheels I own I ran into this image on the Early 911 Registry. I had never seen it before, and wanted to share. My best google translation of the ad below: "This Wheel is good for Ferrari Racecars and we've seen it too in fast Porsches. This small piece of jewelry you can afford. Not only beautiful, but functional, it adds an exclusive note to your car. It will be your daily compliment for your good taste. It's our ambition to have the best wheels not the best priced wheels." The same thread mentions that this was before Alpina produced a horn button. http://ww.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?88604-FS-MoMo-Prototipo-Alpina-360
  9. The frame is the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. 1. Make it to the Vintage in my 1600 2. Widen the Alpina CMR wheels to 13x8. 3. Drive the daylight a out of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Whoops. Didn't notice he had a Tii. It will still work but is a more involved install than on a carb'd 02. Also you can't use the cool adjusting bracket on a Tii. Zenon explains the steps at the bottom of the write up. Sorry for the misleading info 2002#2! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. 5 speeds are out there, but like adawill said prices have risen. On the plus side, I think sites like bluntTech.com has helped evolve buying parts. It's a lot easier than it was 10 years ago. I think most of the stuff needed to maintain an 02 is available. Sites to keep bookmarked. www.blunttech.com www.wallothnesch.com And I use BMW of South Atlanta to search for diagrams and parts numbers. Sometimes I buy from them also. 13. You'll have to use the mounting brackets from the 318i. I had no mounting issues. Remove the fan pulley to remove the old bracket. Which shouldn't be much work since you'll have easy access to it while the radiator is off (for that electric fan.) [emoji16] Wiring is easy. The 318i alt has an internal regulator. Just hook up the blue wire to the D+ terminal. I followed Zenons write-up. It was very helpful. http://www.zeebuck.com/bimmers/tech/318alternator/318ialternator.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. When I installed my electric fan I went ahead and upgraded to the 318i alternator. Since you have to remove the radiator and stick fan to install the new alt bracket. I'm very happy with it, and there's enough amps to power my stereo, lights and dogs. Also a plus is the adjusting nut to tighten the belt. One man job now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. E21 Recaros weigh about 45-50lbs each. Not sure about the Speed model. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. IMO, vintage Recaro Sport Sitze look the best in an 02. Those are hard to find and really pricy tho. I've seen corbeaus similar to the speed model in an 02. Didn't look bad. I think because they're of a simpler design compared to other modern seats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Think he's looking for the 20 spoke Alpina wheel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I remember seeing this car about 10 years ago around VCU (how many white 02s with box flares are in Richmond?) It was definitely under construction around that time. I agree 30k is optimistic. I'd need paperwork to confirm. Decent looking car though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Car looks great. Your assistant looks a lot like my copilot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The flat side should be inboard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I agree with going with the Aardvark panels if you can. I see you're in Norway so maybe it's not an option. If I were making my own I would probably go with 4mm plywood to avoid the staples from piercing through the vinyl. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You can email andreas.harz@partner.bmwgroup.com your VIN number and he will respond with your build/delivery date and original paint code. My build took a little less than a year. Doing all the bodywork myself. A friend helped me paint it. "What about round light cars? leave them or no? Are you thinking about replacing them with the later square lights? Generally round lights are more desired. I'd leave them alone. It looks like you have a good shell to work with. I look forward to seeing your other ideas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
