  1. Dave (dapbmw) makes the Alpina air dam with rectangular ducts if you go that way. He used an authentic Alpina airdam to make his mold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have rear IE Alpina flares. You've got to cut the wheel wells and weld them back together to accommodate the wider wheels to fill them. To attach the actual flares there are a few options. I just used nutserts for mine. But then again I'm going for an early race look. Most people rivet/bond and blend them in. I also have a Korman FG hood. I drilled holes for the post/pin on the nose panel and then used hood hold downs for the sides. Bristol car is mine. Blended flare Green car was one of my inspirations. 3. Wasn't this identified as a Porsche knob in another thread? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'd imagine the red is the same used on the turbo stripes. Off the top of my head I think it is Pantone Red 032 C. Which is a red with a slight orange hue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Haven't been able to find this particular Alpina air dam with round vents but dapbmw makes a good repo with the square ducts. Pic of mine attached. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Simeon - haha. I was trying to remember that guy's name. Biggest troll on the FAQ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. People pay extra to have their strut tubes bent. [emoji12] But yea, bummed. This 1600 was awesome. Glad you got a few others. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm used to seeing high prices on crap parts on eBay, but now I'm starting to notice it here. Like $150 U.S. Turn signals. LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I noticed some ribbed valve covers on eBay stamped 73. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Re wrapped in leather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The search function is your friend. This subject is probably one of the most asked questions on the FAQ. Do you want to lower your car for looks or for performance? If you want adjustable coilovers then Ireland Engineering and Ground Control are the way to go for the front. I would not recommend a coilovers setup for the rear unless you've seriously reinforced the shock towers. Good news is you can get the adjustable spring perches from ground control instead. I know Catuned is also developing a coilover system, but haven't heard much about it. Maybe give them a call for specifics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. "Nice euro stance." [emoji23] I agree with what's already been said. I'm confused why there was no pictures of the rebuilt motor. That would be an important selling point to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Guess enough people told him the car was Florida. He added a note/edit at the bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Achman - it could be a BMW Motorsport golf ball knob. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. This might be too easy a fix, but maybe the positive terminal is dirty. I've had problems in the past with the same issue and that was the fix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'll take #3! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Welcome to the FAQ. I think ET25 is what you want, but I'm not certain. Check out the "Tires And Wheel/rims Fitment Guide" thread on this site. You can find it using the search feature. I'd post a link but I'm on my phone right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. This is the best bargain I've seen all year. If I wasn't neck deep in seats for my 02 i'd pick em up! Bump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I've been gathering parts for that Lynx setup too. I don't have an extra one for sale, but if you want a new one the PN is 35 41 1 109 924. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Finished the paint. Still have to buff out some trouble areas but other than that I think it came out great. I had turbo flare trim on the rear pig cheeks before, but that was when it was black on black. Now it's not working with the new color, so I will be removing the rubber trim. Alpina airdam from Dave Pineda. To do list: Install rebuilt front hubs. Install new center bearing and guibo. Install new door and rear 1/4 window rubber. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I used almost a gallon of final coat for my 02. Laid down 4 coats. So I think without painting doors a gallon would be more than enough for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I meant if this is the IE BBK (250mm drums) then maybe they sent you the parts for the stock drums (230mm). It's happened to me before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Maybe they sent you 230mm thrust rod and tension springs. Double check the part numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I noticed the Ghibli knob was the same too. Got outbid for one on eBay. It sold for less than $40. Cheaper than if someone listed it for an 02. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
