  1. Here's a kamei airdam with bumper I found on Google. You'll have to remove the bumper and cut two inlets in the spoiler for the bumper brackets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Saw a baikal? Roundie on the way to Muir Woods. Think it had some surfboards on the roof. I'm in SF for the weekend (from VA) and I can't go to Brisbane. So at least I saw one 02. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I think GC uses koni adjustable shocks. The rears are not a coilover conversion. Just an adjustable height adjuster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It sounds like you already have pig cheeks on the car. Are you just looking for spares? Anyhow, you can find two versions of pig cheek flares at iemotorsport.com
  5. What Mike said. Try adjusting your idle speed screw first. I don't know what kind of Weber you have, but use google to find an exploded view image of your carb t find it.
  6. To tighten my Bilsteins I use an allen wrench. Check the top of the shaft you are tightening.
  7. Price:: 50.00 Location: : Virginia Beach, 23462 Hi all, Im letting go of my used Massive (Massive Brakes) gas pedal as I've gone back to my stock pedal. IIRC, some forum members had problems with the bearing traveling over the drilled holes. I've never experienced that, but I did have an issue with the pedal sticking. I blame it on my nubs. I never bothered to look further into it tho. Perhaps the new owner would rather try Mlyte's DIY hinge solution. Shipping will be an extra $5.95 (USPS flat rate box.) Reply here, or PM me to purchase. Thanks!
  8. In my defense I did suggest to search titles only, since I assume it would narrow down the 100s of threads containing the word "bushings." [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yes, there are a lot posts covering this. Search titles containing the word "Bushings."
  10. I like Alpina horn buttons, but I'd look for one with the DCOE in the emblem. As far as Black vs. Silver...I've always leaned towards silver for some contrast against the mostly black dash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Looks great. I'm a VB local and saw this ad. Shame the seller only had one pic of a similar car. Nice pick-up and you definitely made it look better! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Year:: 1972 Make:: BMW Model:: 2002 Price:: 20,480 Location: : Virginia NMNA: Saw this one on CL in my area. Looks pretty original, sans the 1600 grills. I wonder if its originally Inka? Price seems extremely high to me, but what do I know. http://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/4970874916.html
  13. I don't have experience with box flares. But on my pig cheek car I'm running 13x8 et negative 10 with 205/60 rubber (iirc.) That's with bilstein sports and eibach springs. I have no clearance issues. About to switch to IE front coilovers up front and #350 IE race spring in the back. Also switching to a 15X8.5 et10 wheel. Haven't figured out tires yet. 14. Epsilon Mesh 15X8.5 et10. These are going on my pig cheeked 1600. Currently it's running 13X8 et-12 Compomotive THs. I just sent the faces off to be powder coated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I say go for it and paint it Florida. I have a '71 1602 originally chamonix but PO painted it Baikal. I'm currently prepping it for paint. No way I'm going back to the original color and I've loved Bristol 02's long enough to feel comfortable with proceeding with the new color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. At the bottom of that article is a follow up. Seems like most have been saved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I had USAA and I fought for two months over the value of my 1602 after a wreck. The first offer being less than 2k. I would send them comparable 2002's in my local market that had sold (slim pickings in VA.) IF I recall, I was told I could not use prices of cars sold out of state. Anyhow, after a heated debate over the phone with an agent I threatened to lawyer up. Less than an hour later they called me back and agreed on a value I could live with. $6500. The car was considered totaled, but I loved it so much I bought it back. I left USAA after that, but I would use them again. Just not for a classic car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. What is the dream car? Hate to see you sell your 02. You're one of the biggest pig cheek fans and I would've loved seeing it finished! I should have mine done this year. Picking a color now. Hope all works out for you though. GLWS! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have a 71 1602 and to fit the e21 Recaros I just removed the e21 rails and added my 02 ones. Im about 5'10" and never noticed being off centered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Found. Thanks pickolly! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Looks great. I actually just started rebuilding a set of 15X8.5 et10 Epsilon Mesh wheels (going on a pig cheek car.) I tried sanding down one of the faces and gave up. I'll just have a pro blast and powder coat them. The barrels I can definitely do myself. Im still undecided wether to go with gold or silver. Love the gold on your wheels, but unsure which direction to go with mine.
  22. Looking for a timing chain cover to match with my E12 head. Thanks. Im in Virginia Beach 23452.
  23. Its' been a few years since I've worked on my 1602. Life as a starving artist didn't leave much cash to splurge on my car...and entertaining women took a big chunk out of my budget. Luckily, I found a lady who really loves me, so now I can move my focus on to more important matters. I usually drove it 2 out 5 days a week till last Summer when I felt the rear drum brakes wearing out. So, to the garage she sat untill I could get time to gather parts and work on her. Fast forward to 2015 and I have a 250mm rear drum kit from IE sitting in my living room. The while I'm at it notion kicked in, and I composed a list of things I want to get done. So far I've gathered/have on order: - IE front sway bar (already have rear) - IE front strut brace - IE fixed camber plates (I have K-Macs and don't like them.) - IE coilovers with shortend strut inserts. - Offset roll center spacers - 15x8.5 Epsilon Mesh 3 pc wheels et10. (Refurbishing them now.) For the rears I have Bilstein sport shocks with unknown springs. Will be sorting that out soon. I've also started body work. I'd like to have this car all one color again. I'm undecided to what color I want, but am leaning towards a BRG, but I also like some of the hot rod flatz paint jobs. I'll figure it out when I get to that point. I'm definitely leaving the exposed rivets for the rear flares, because I like the old school look. Not because I'm lazy...well maybe a little lazy. I haven't taken any recent photos of my process. I keep forgetting while working on the car. I'll make a conscious effort from here on out tho. For now here are some crappy instagram pics through out the past 2 years.
  24. NOS Control dip stick for sale. Part number 61 31 1 352 949. Mobile Traditions has it listed for $445, I'll let mine go for $350 OBO. Shipping is included. Also I will take trades for any of the items below: - Cibie Oscars - Sthal header (or comparable.) - Door Seals (URO or BMW) - Rear sport springs - Airdam (not IE/Zender style.)
