  1. Here's one I have lying around. Didn't see a date stamp but there was a parts number(?). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I would like one also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hello everyone. I'm looking at getting a front coilover set up and need two front struts for my '71 1602. Feel free to contact me here or by email: jas.rodman@gmail.com Location: Virginia Beach
  4. Ola, I'll try and get some up close pics this week. I know when I initially painted my panels it looked very rough, but as it dried the paint started to smooth out on its own. The final outcome looks pretty good in my opinion, but definitely not as smooth as a real paint job.
  5. Ola, They suggest about 4 coats (this makes it easier to peel off later.) I painted my nose panel, front fenders, and doors. I used 3 cans.
  6. I did this on my car. When you peel it off it has a texture similar to a balloon.
  7. I remember a FAQ member owning this car. MRACER? I know it was built in CA, but last time I saw it, it was in Virginia Beach. I love this car, and the early grills on a square tail look pretty good! Here's a video of it. I've watched about a hundred times.
  8. Joel, Looks good so far! Im glad you recommended me going with the et-12.
  9. Unknown lowering springs, and Bilstein sports. Wheels are Compomotive TH1380, 13X8, et-12, with Sumitomo 205/60/13.

  11. found this while roaming german ebay. i think it may be a similar flare, and couldnt hurt to contact the seller to get more info. GL http://www.ebay.de/itm/BMW-2002-touring-ti-tii-Kotflugel-/120853787188?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item1c23727234
  12. I have no idea what flares they are, but IMO they don't look like the small Alpina flares I think CD is referencing. These seem a little more organic and not as angular as the sm. Alpina flares, VW flares, and so on. I like the look tho. They remind me of the flares the Japanese nostalgia crowd uses, only blended in with the fenders. Sorry I'm no real help.
  13. Whoa! That looks awesome. I hope you recover quickly, I want to see more of this!!!
  14. Perhaps the engineers were watching "The Dilemma" starring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. Their goal was to make a hybrid engine sound like a muscle car.
  15. Cool! I've noticed Hotwheels released some Japanese Nostalgics lately, and was wondering why no '02. Do you thing these would be on the shelves at Target, Toys R Us??
  16. I followed your project blog and really enjoyed seeing all the work you put into it. I'm just guessing perhaps the market isn't paying high prices for a non Tii that has been modded to the sellers liking. I think the details you gave definitely did not hurt the sale. Personally the more info I can get on a 30+ y/o car the better. It boosts my buying confidence. I have seen modded 02's on ebay fetch some high prices however (above 10k). Perhaps a professional photo shoot under proper lighting would boost bids? All the work you've done to the engine bay I would definitely like to see more of. Sorry I can't throw a price at you.
  17. I used the search and it looks like this hasn't been posted. Found this on youtube at first, then checked out their website. A supercharged Ford V8 in a 70! Not really my cup of tea, but I enjoy seeing what others have done. Plus if anyone asks, "will a XXX engine fit?" just shoot em this thread. LOL. I like the quote on their site, "I don't think this car goes under category "Checkbook Racing!" Scroll to the bottom for pics. http://alpinetrade.com/1970_BMW_5002sc_Project.php Clips of the monster caught on video can be seen here. http://www.youtube.com/user/ALPINETRADE
  18. Just thought I'd update this thread with a link that works. https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B_sMrjQGNJ_yN2IyMDA5N2ItYzE5NS00M2NmLTljZDgtZGRlN2I2ZmRmNzgy&hl=en
  19. What's going on with the grills. It's confusing me.
  20. This is definitely my favorite air dam on a roundie. Wish I didn't have to buy a couch this weekend. GLWS
  21. jrk, et-12 wasn't and option, so I went with -10. I plan on getting them on next week. I'll send pics when I have them mounted.
  22. I got my TH1381's on Chirstmas Eve. I mistakenly ordered the silver flat caps, wish I got the cone type. Anyhow, I just thought I'd share a picture of the final product.
