  1. Thanks all. I've ordered the duckbill, so I'll let the faq know how it goes.
  2. Hello all, I've probably looked at every airdam thread on this site, so Im almost certain that Im not killing any kittens. Can any tell me if the green 02 in the attachment is running a MK1 VW duckbill spoiler? For $55 this seems to be a cheap solution for an airdam, plus I've always liked the simplicity of duckbill spoilers. Has anyone done this? I think I'll give it a shot. someone fitting one to a 510 http://buildthreads.wordpress.com/2009/04/23/project-datsun-1600-part-8/ link to duckbill spoiler http://store.blackforestindustries.com/mk1dedusp.html
  3. Pig cheeks, and a pigs head in the engine bay. haha. Great pics!
  4. Hello all, Just as title says, looking for a water neck for side draft conversion. Preferably with sensors so I don't have to find plugs. TIA Jason jason@fantasticplanetrock.com shipping to 23517
  5. The motor in my 1602 is not original - it was swapped out for a 76 E21 2.0L some time ago. If I can get out of work today to pick it up, I'll take some photos and post them this weekend in a project blog I've been meaning to start.
  6. Hello all. I just recently had the single sidedraft installed on my 71 1602 (E21 engine) and I'm not particularly happy using the cable linkage I have on there now. Anyone running this setup using something different? On a side note, I went from a 32/36 to the single 45 DCOE, and all though I have no dyno testing done to it, I've noticed a HUGE difference. From seat of the pants testing, Mike from Sports & Imports (Chesapeake, VA) says it feels similar to the dual 40's he use to install a few years ago. For me the change was so drastic, I have to relearn how to drive my car. Haha. I'll post pictures when I can, currently the cars back in the shop due to an alternator problem. Jason
  7. I work in Ghent and saw this car last Summer. Looked and sounded nice. GLWS.
  8. I just told my girlfriend to get me a single side draft kit from TEP, and I'd act surprised on Christmas day. She said even though I knew what I had gotten, when I opened it, my face made it all worth it. hahaha Jason
  9. I forgot the name of the Car Wash this 02 was located at, but they had the same paint scheme as this car, which was used to draw in customers I guess.
  10. Not mine, no affiliation. Looks like the car that was posted out front of that car wash on Broad St. http://richmond.craigslist.org/cto/1522127204.html
  11. So is Bavarian Engine Exchange the same company as Bavarian Auto Recyclers?
  12. My VIN (1571725) doesn't fall in that sequence. It's always been registered as a '71, as far as I know, but technically I guess it was built in late 1970. I'm so used to people asking what year it is, and replying "A '71!", that I don't think I could get used to saying that it's a '70. lol
  13. pichos, what kind of Remus muffler is that, and where did you get it? Thanks, Jason
  14. Thanks for the reply. I'll have to pass, although my impulses tell me otherwise. GLWS
  15. interested in the rear muffler. shipping to 23517?
  16. Congrats on the buy. Look forward to seeing some proper photos. Where in VA are you located? Im assuming Northern. Wish I'd see more 02's in Hampton Roads.
  17. I know people have used these wheels with bilstien sports and lowering springs and as long as they ran 195/50/15 or 195/45/15 tires they had no rubbing issues.
  18. Sounds good, Ill take them. email me at jason@fantasticplanetrock.com to work out the details like deposit amount and payments.
  19. I'll be installing this setup after Christmas. I currently have a stock motor, except for a IE Shorter Header, crane xr700, and a 32/36. I'll let you know what I experience . In the meantime here a link http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/t,312159/highlight,single+sidedraft/ *post edited
  20. Hahaha. Thanks Brad. I'd keep them too but I got deal I couldn't refuse on the Alpinas, and if I don't get rid of these RA's my better half will kill me. IMHO these wheels are awesome. If you like the pictures, you'd like them even better in person.
  21. The pics below are of the repaired wheel, the 3 others look just as great.
  22. A present from my girlfriend. She let me take it out the box to make sure everything was there, now I gotta wait till after Christmas to install it. hahaha.
  23. I think this look is very tough! I'd rather see the hood all black myself, but this ain't my car. Looks awesome all-in-all. Are those Diamond Racing wheels? I was thinking about getting a set myself. specs?
