  1. Thanks again for all the replies. The color is Baikal. Im located in Virginia Beach, VA. but the PO was located in IL.
  2. I want to thank every so far for the quick responses, it's been very helpful.
  3. According to the VIN table it was made Im guessing late 1970? 1695 made that year for the US. About the bumper, I guess I've just never seen the bar atop. Im guessing its for fogs? I just tried to order the SR440X starter from Bap Geon, and the guy refused to order saying it wouldn't fit.
  4. Thanks for the info. I figured so, I just wanted to be certain before I dropped money I dont really have. ha. VIN# 1571725
  5. Hello all. Ive been lurking on this site for a little under a year, and have found tons of great info. Im a little ignorant when it comes to 02's, so pardon me if the following question is a dumb one. Anyhow, I recently purchased a 71 1602 and am in need of a new starter, tried searching for info specific to my engine, with no luck. My question is: can I use any of the 2002 starters mentioned in the "Need a new starter...Which one and why" thread? I checked bap geon and compared part numbers for 2002's and 1602's, and noticed they didnt share the same part #'s, so I want to make sure before I purchase the wrong starter. TIA! *started a new thread because I didnt see the original thread bumped to the top.
