  1. I will check the fuses to be sure. But, my thought is if it was the fuse, I should get no lights when I switch to the high beam position. Instead, what happens is that it stays on the low beams. Could that be a fuse issue? B
  2. During my drive to work 6am today, I discovered that I no longer can switch to high beam. Low beam works fine. I can flash the high beams so headlamps/relay/fuse are fine, but when I push the turn signal stalk forward (away from steering wheel) to the high beam position, it does click into position, but the lights stay on low beam. I'm thinking this is a problem with the switch itself. Or is it something else? Common? Byas
  3. WuN has new fenders which will run ~$310 shipped to CA for a pair. Anyone have experience with the quality on these? Thx, Byas
  4. Every Tii Vin from 278001 onward has the same batch number. (Ok, I did not try every single number, but a lot of numbers from 001 to the last one 2929).
  5. I need the under dash covers. Where in Sac are you? I can stop by. B
  6. Was the snorkle the only difference? I thought the fuel filter mount which is a slight depression was also stamped at the same time. Is that there in the snorkle noses? If it isn't there then I would tend believe there were no ur-Tii's with snorkel. Byas
  7. Do you have a close-up -- was hard to see the needle in your after pics. The cluster looked good overall.
  8. CD, When I put in the number at Max: Part Cross-reference The specified part 51431826393 was not found. Search another part: Is the part number off?
  9. When I enter my VIN at Max, I get the following info You Have Selected: P 114 Lim 2002tii M10 USA 19740700 L M Production Code: 2233, batch ID: 47141 What does it mean? P114 = ? Lim = Limo (Sedan)? 19740700 = July ?? 1974 L M = ? Production code 2233 = ? Batch ID =? Thx, Byas
  10. Looks great! How is the parcel shelf attached to the car? I've been thinking of doing the same. Byas
  11. Also interested in the Tii manifold. Please send me pics (email button above). THanks! Byas
  12. No. See the clip on the bottom right on the throttle bracket. That's what I was referring to. It holds the return hose.
  13. Do you have the hose clip on the Tii throttle bracket? Perhaps that could help you maintain the gap? Byas
  14. Remove every fuse and clean the contacts on the fuse box as well as on the fuses. Byas
  15. Aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!! Solved, BUT... Took the console apart, unplugged the hazard. NO change. Plugged it back in. Then I tried the hazard again and it still worked. I realized the ign was off this time. Then realized that the hazard is designed to work with the ign off so probably had a separate power supply. So, checked #6 fuse again. Looked good. But changed it anyway -- TA DA -- turn signals work. Put the old fuse back in. Still works. @#$@#$@#$%!! Contact were not clean perhaps (I had cleaned them all just a while ago). Now need to put my entire console, dash, steering, back in. I am an idiot! Byas
  16. I looked for a w=1.393 speedo for a while then bought a new one from W&N. Probably cost approx the same or less to get a new one as to get one recalibrated. Byas
  17. Tried to eliminate the turn signal switch as a problem: I unplugged the switch harness at the connector near the steering column. I then shorted between the power wire coming from the relay and the either of the wires running to the lamps -- no dice. Did not work. So went back to thinking it was (somehow) the flasher relay. Tried a new relay. Same issue. So, not the relay. Not the turn signal switch. COuld it be the hazard switch? The hazards work fine so I had initially eliminated the hazard switch as a problem. But, could the hazard switch somehow be a problem when using the turn signal? I'll need to dismantle th Behr console to disconnect the hazard switch and try again. Any other thoughts? Byas
  18. Agree, while the text to me indicates a US set, the pic shows the flat ones. The early US ones were flat but it's not those either. Seller's feedback shows other instances of item not matching picture. You friend should post a negative experience comment (none in past 3 mos). B The ad reads that way to me as a US set too but the pic is definitely a Euro set. At 350, it's right in that sweet spot that it's too much for US lenses and a good deal for a Euros. IMO, kcigermany knows his BMW parts and is vague in his description to maybe bait a newbie. One obviously bit....as most of us in the know would have email for clarification. It's not my transaction so I won't get into specifics except to say he's not offering a refund. Edit: Oh, and if you are a newbie, you may not know the difference between the 2 except that you want a flat turn signal and that's what's pictured. ok, I'm done.
  19. Hmm... The ad says it is a US set. Perhaps this was a recent edit? Byas
  20. Perhaps if you post some pics, some of the experts here can give you more targeted advice. B
  21. As I note above, the 4-way hazard switch operates the flashers properly -- all four lamps light up as does the indicator on the instrument panel. I opened up the flasher relay and did discover that the mount was not a ground point. Whit the hazard on, the relay operates normally -- leading me to think that the relay is ok. However, when I use the turn signal switch, the relay does not work -- so wondering if the problem is with the turn switch. Byas
  22. is the turn signal switch in good condition? HOw much to 95762? Thx! Byas
  23. One piece carpet started in 74 I believe. There's a blue 74 seat set on sale now -- but you'll get an idea of what it should look like B
  24. I was thinking that, but the Hazard flasher which uses the same Relay works fine. Does that not eliminate the Relay as a problem?
  25. Driver side rear trailing arm. Thanks! Byas
