  1. Hiya. Nope, just an aesthetic choice by the previous owner.
  2. This BMW is back up for sale, now in Columbia City. Somebody broke in to steal my shitty stereo and ripped a bunch of wires from the dash. It is currently not running: a project very close to being a daily driver. Asking $6000, price negotiable. Motivated to sell. Get at me!
  3. Hello all. I am selling my beautiful Inca Orange 1975 '02. It has a 5-speed transmission put in by the previous owner, along with a series of upgrades to the suspension. I've just put in a brand new Weber 32/36, which will need to be calibrated. It is currently running, but not safely. Since replacing the carburetor, there are little jumps when upshifting. I don't know enough about the mechanical aspects to be able to diagnose. I am in the process of starting a school and, unfortunately for me, this means that I won't have the time nor money to identify and solve whatever the issues are. It really pains me to sell, but I need to put all my focus on my current project: getting this school going.
  4. Hello there. I'm looking for help replacing my carburetor/tuning it up. I've had this one rebuilt and then installed it myself in the past, but now it's totally gone dead. I have very little experience and am looking for someone who'd be willing to help me out with this project. The car has been sitting for a couple years at a friend's house, and now it's time to get it back in the shape it's meant to be. I've tried contacting Midnight Motorsports in West Seattle, but each time I tried to set something up, communication was cut off. I live in Wallingford, in Seattle. Thanks, Benjamin
  5. Hello all, in need of help. Yesterday while driving my accelerator pedal began to fail. It started coming in and out, losing rpms at quite a rate. I even had to restart it while rolling at 35 mph multiple times. This seemed to happen more in higher gears. I've got a Weber 32-36 that has a cold start issue, and I feel like this might be a related problem. Any ideas?
  6. Working again! Found the correct wiring, and justjiggleditalittle! Sure, another temporary fix, but it's great for now. I appreciate all the help. 98 Volvo station wagon forums were nowhere near as useful. I'll post some pictures soon. Sure is orange.
  7. In my "Owners Manual" it says that fuse 5 is for the left turn indicator and that number 12 covers a lot: stop lights, turn indicator lights, horn relay, wiper motor, screenwasher and reversing lights. None of these other things are affected. There are no broken fuses, but I wiggled them and rotated them a bit, but to no avail. Couldn't hurt replacing them anyhow.
  8. Heyo, My Volvo V70 XC caught fire on the freeway and exploded at a semi-truck weigh station. In the market for a fine automobile, I decided to follow my heart toward a 2002. It's a 1975 Inka orange five-speed conversion. The engine was rebuilt about 27,000 miles ago. Weber carb, new ATS wheels from a Volkswagon, etc. It drives like a dream, but the wipers stopped working. In Olympia, Washington this could prove to be a hinderance. I searched the forum for some answers and found one thread that gave me a little insight, but if I could get more I'd be much obliged. New to the world of the 2002, new to the world of any kind of car that doesn't rely a good majority on electronic parts. My only two previous vehicles were a 1992 Acura Integra and the stupid pile of ash that used to be a 1998 Volvo wagon.
