  1. John prices very so much by location its had to say what is a fair price, but the way i look at it is rust repair and paint/minor body work should be two different numbers...the car in question looks rusty to me, i would start with bead blasting the car to metal to see the real extent of rust...then the needed metal repair/replace will be shown (i have spent 150 man hours on rust repair)...here in texas two stage paint/body would be 10/15k single stage 15/20k...the rust looks like at least 5/10k...plus the cost to glass bead blast around 2k here... to me its a low 20k plus project, would want to see other work/projects in progress and completed by paint/body vendor...

  5. Looking blue in the shop last couple of days, changed out damaged front hood trim on baur, continuing assembly of our E9 coupe…
  6. Trying to get to my first thousand miles on the Ceylon Gold tii, on my way home on last test drive the rebuilt alternator gave out at 805 miles on rebuild…changed that out for rebuilt spare on shelf we will see how long it lasts…another 75 miles today we are up to 880 miles so far…
  7. Beautiful day here in the Texas hill country mid 70s, I needed to re-shuffle cars to get the baur out of the garage …
  8. You should only have to remove and replace two at pivot, for most repairs! But Yes to re-plate remove and replace it’s really all you can do…it’s important to try to get pop rivets tight
  9. Back on the road yesterday in our Inka tii, took a few days off i had a Mohs treatment on a pre-cancer area of my nose Wednesday… one hundred plus miles following the Colorado river into Lake Travis.
  10. The rubber grommets that the cross bars go into in the frame are ripped and the crossbars are not under upward pressure from the bow in cross bar…
  11. Do you have the old seats? Do these strips come off? 30 minutes before it closed I didn’t think it would make $70k…
  12. Jake I do not think it can be fixed without removing the heater box, you can cap off the hoses and roll without a heater until you are ready… not sure how many book hours the job is but it takes a full day to r&r…
  13. Drove almost a hundred miles today with four of my friends and then stopped for BBQ, it was a good day… we followed the shores of the Colorado river today drove on lime Creek Road/fm1431/cow creek… last picture by Greg Resa
  14. Its just not an attractive car / color combo to me, with the stripes / the air dam w/stripes, and those seats not to my taste…sounds great, lets see the power.
  15. Today we attended c&c in Austin pretty good turn out on a really cold brisk day…
  16. Today we took another ride, finishing the week with 475 miles on the Ceylon tii…so far so good! I’m now working on my e9 coupe You can follow that on the e9 site.
  17. Doug when you get there that’s when the “Scene” will start, will put you lot closer to the scene in Texas / Arkansas and North Carolina…
